$1M Soros Gift Triples Pot Pushers Purse

From a giddy Los Angeles Times:

Soros’ donation triples marijuana advocates’ campaign purse

California’s marijuana legalization campaign, which has struggled to raise money despite the intense nationwide focus on the issue, was jolted Tuesday when a multibillionaire investor with a long interest in loosening drug laws endorsed Proposition 19 and donated $1 million.

Lest we forget, it is largely thanks to Mr. Soros’ generosity that medical marijuana is now legal in so many states. And we have seen what a wonderful success story that has been. And what a lie it was that it would just be used as an excuse for people to get pot who did not need it for any medical reasons.

The contribution triples the amount of money that legalization advocates have to spend in the final week before the Nov. 2 election and dwarfs the $317,500 that the California Chamber of Commerce has spent on radio ads in Sacramento, Los Angeles and San Diego against the initiative.

Gosh, there is that despicable Chamber of Commerce at work again.

"Better late than never," said Dale Sky Jones [sic], a spokeswoman for the Yes on 19 committee…

As if much of the earlier propaganda wasn’t also funded by the unrepentant Nazi helpmeet.

George Soros, the chairman of a hedge fund and a philanthropist, made the donation as polls showed support slipping

We certainly cannot let the people decide such things. They might not have our country’s best interests at heart, as Mr. Soros famously does.

Soros donated to a campaign committee run by the Drug Policy Alliance, a national advocacy group that he also supports financially

Will he also donate munchies for after the elections? And maybe some prescriptions for medical marijuana ‘gift cards’?

The Drug Policy Alliance, which hopes to persuade black and Latino voters to back the initiative as a civil rights issue, will showcase a study Wednesday that found Latinos were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges more often than whites in 33 California cities between 2006 and 2008…

The alliance has also issued reports showing higher arrest rates for African Americans…

Demand your civil right to get high, man! By the way, try to guess who funded this "study."

Nice. Get ’em all stoned and then screw with the monetary policies. Come to think of it, most Dems are 1/2 in the bag anyway.

Voters who are stoned are open to coercion and can’t think clearly.

Makes sense if you’re, as Glenn Beck calls him, the “Spooky Dude.”
