Mob Of 200 Protest Outside SEIU Office

From the St. Louis Fox News affiliate, KTVI:

Protesters Demand Apology For Fracas At Town Hall Meeting

By Teresa Woodard

August 8, 2009

CENTRAL WEST END (KTVI-FOX2now.com) – About 200 people, many members of the so called "tea party" movement in St. Louis, held a peaceful protest outside the offices of the Service Employees International Union Saturday, demanding an apology after a fracas at a town hall meeting in South County Thursday night.

A fist fight broke out outside a senior care forum held by Representative Russ Carnahan at Bernard Middle School. People on both sides of the health care reform issue showed up at the rally. And one individual claims he was beaten by members of the SEIU. There were six arrests.

The St. Louis Tea Party organized the rally Saturday, and Ken Gladney, who says he was the target of the attack, was there in a wheelchair.

The crowd was peaceful, but demanded an apology from SEIU, Rep. Carnahan, and President Obama.

No one from SEIU appeared to be inside the offices in the Central West End, where the protest was held.

And even this report is careful to assign blame, even though anyone with eyes can see who started what from the video from the scene.

Meanwhile, Mr. Gladney’s attorney read a letter written by his client:

Kenneth Gladney’s Attorney Speaks Out Against SEIU Thuggery & Violence at Protest

Kenneth Gladney, who was attacked and beaten at the Russ Carnahan town hall by the representatives union supporters, attended the rally against violence today at the SEIU headquarters in St. Louis.

Kenneth’s attorney David Brown read a letter by Kenneth to the crowd since Kenneth was still weak to speak publically.

Here are some other photos of ‘the mob’ via other attendees:

This is probably the closest this news will ever get to being reported by our watchdog media.

Even though there was violence and even an racial epithet involved.

Why is that?

    St. Louis Tea Party
Demand Justice! Denounce Violence! Saturday at SEIU Office
by admin on August 7, 2009
DATE: Saturday, August 8, 2009 (tomorrow) TIME: Noon
LOCATION: SEIU Headquarters, 5585 Pershing Ave., Suite 130, St. Louis, MO 63112

The St. Louis Tea Party will hold a press conference and peaceable protest at SEIU Headquarters
5585 Pershing Ave., Suite 130, St. Louis, MO 63112 at Noon Saturday, August 8, 2009.

The protest is to demand justice for Kenneth Gladney, an African-American conservative who was brutally beaten by 4 individuals, at least 2 of whom were identified as SEIU representatives. The beatings included racial slurs and required hospitalization of Mr. Gladney.

As videos show, the attack was unprovoked and no one retaliated against the union thugs.

This attack followed hours of taunts and verbal assaults by SEIU and ACORN members upon citizens gathered to express their views under the First Amendment. We believe this brutal beating is part of an organized plan to suppress dissent to the Administration’s planned seizure of the medical industry in the United States.

Anyone who believes in non-violent protest, in the rule of law, in the right of black men and women to express conservative political views, in the right to peaceably assemble, to speak freely, and to petition Congress for a redress of grievances is invited to attend.

The Tea Party specifically requests the NAACP and the ACLU to come out in support of Kenneth Gladney’s rights which were trampled by these hooligans. We call on Representative Russ Carnahan to denounce the beating. We call on President Obama to denounce the beatings. We call on St. Louis County to prosecute the assailants to fullest extent of the law.

Hundreds protest against the violence of SEIU St Louis office

There are some more video’s on this protest on the web, and I even found some other protestests else where of minorities against the SEIU accusing them of being racist.

It’s about time the silent majority spoke up. I love it! The funniest part in all of this? The Democrats don’t know how to react to the protests without sounding unPC and you know how they hate to sound unPC. LOL

Here’s another video from the protest – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eotkyu6avqs

People I know who were there said that the video doesn’t show the true flavor of the protest. I’m told the thugs roamed the crowds getting in peoples’ faces and trying to incite the attendees to physical response. Nobody took the bait. Of the six who were arrested, all were radical agitators.

At the Gateway Pundit link, I love the photo of the two empty chairs with the caption, “Sadly, the ACLU and the NAACP did not send representatives to the rally.
…After all, Kenneth is a black conservative”.

    I’m still laughing….. ;o)

I really loved that photo as well – very telling, isn’t it?

Where is the invite for a beer get-together with SEIU and their victim? Is this not a teachable moment – does he think the SEIU was acting stupidly ?
