And it also creates enough fear to possibly gin up support for Obamacare (A win). The real possibility (unless of course Obamacare is instituted) - of such an epidemic happening is almost nil - as we have more basic medical knowledge, hygiene, medications and medical, social, technical and communication advancements since the horrid 1918 pandemic that they always hark back to (hmm, I wonder why that one?!?). The last flu 'pandemic' (1968-69 'Hong Kong flu') only killed 1 million people (0.0003% of the entire population at that time). To get that same pandemic proportion today - 2 million people world wide (which right now still stands at 5,000) would have to die. Of course that isn't going to stop the fear mongers - most especially with Obamacare on the brink - they will just downgrade again the criteria and definition of pandemic. And to think that these self same people called Bush a fear monger after 9/11 - he was a piker compared to these vile losers who will stoop to anything to give The Won his 'legacy' of Government Health care.
