300,000 Illegal Aliens Have Come Into US Just Since April

From the New York Times:

Influx of Central American Migrants Roils Murrieta, Calif.

By JENNIFER MEDINA | July 3, 2014

MURRIETA, Calif. — … As federal officials have begun to send the expected 240,000 migrants and 52,000 unaccompanied minors who have crossed the border illegally in recent months in the Rio Grande Valley to cities around the county, Murrieta so far is the only place that has managed to turn them away…

In reality, The Times buried this revelation in their seventh paragraph of a very long article about Murrieta. (Which they describe as if they were looking at a foreign planet.)

And The Times only mention this detail about 300,000 illegals having come to the US in passing. In fact, you have to read the sentence several times to even figure out what they are saying. (Also, it seem like they have re-edited the article to remove any reference to April. Now it is "in recent months.")

In another article from The Times, we find this revelation:

Amid Influx of Migrants, Obama Is to Skip Border Visit on Texas Trip

By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS and JULIA PRESTON | JULY 3, 2014

…Policy makers on all sides were focusing increasingly on a mesh of laws mandating special treatment of unaccompanied migrant children, most of which were passed under President George W. Bush.

Under the 2008 law, youths from contiguous countries are questioned by border agents immediately after they are caught. If they do not express fear of returning home or say they have been victims of trafficking, agents can secure their consent to be deported and they are rapidly returned home…

The above was buried in the fourteenth paragraph of the article. (And we have more on the law in question below.)

Federal officials in South Texas have told lawmakers that more than 85 percent of the unaccompanied minors from Central America have been released to close relatives living in this country, including about half released to at least one parent…

The above was buried in the 19th of the 20 paragraph article.

So, to sum up, 292,000 illegal aliens have flooded into the United States just since April. (Which is a rate of almost 100,000 a month.) And 85% of them have been released into the US. And we are supposed to believe it is all Bush’s fault.

For the record, the law The Times is blaming on Bush is the ‘Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA) of 2008.’  which is simply a ‘renewal’ of the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000, which was passed under and signed by Bill Clinton. It offers protections for persons in the country illegally who may be victims of human trafficking.

The Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act had been subsequently renewed in 2003, 2006, 2008 and most recently in 2013 as an amendment to the Violence Against Women Act. Granted, further provisions may have been added in 2008. But, if so, they were added by a Democrat-controlled Congress.

“Murrieta so far is the only place that has managed to turn them away….”

An act of defiance and insubordination which will be dealt with harshly.
