35 CIA Ops In Benghazi Intimidated Into Silence

The latest ‘phony scandal news,’ from the easily bamboozled Jake Tapper, at CNN:

Exclusive: Dozens of CIA operatives on the ground during Benghazi attack

Jake Tapper | August 1st, 2013

CNN has uncovered exclusive new information about what is allegedly happening at the CIA, in the wake of the deadly Benghazi terror attack…

Sources now tell CNN dozens of people working for the CIA were on the ground that night, and that the agency is going to great lengths to make sure whatever it was doing, remains a secret.

Why bother, if it’s just a phony scandal?

CNN has learned the CIA is involved in what one source calls an unprecedented attempt to keep the spy agency’s Benghazi secrets from ever leaking out.

Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency’s missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency’s workings.

They are probably phony polygraphs.

The goal of the questioning, according to sources, is to find out if anyone is talking to the media or Congress. It is being described as pure intimidation, with the threat that any unauthorized CIA employee who leaks information could face the end of his or her career.

Compare and contrast to the way the Obama administration delighted in the ‘leaks’ about the Bin Laden mission. Or anything else that they think makes Obama look good.

In exclusive communications obtained by CNN, one insider writes, "You don’t jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well." Another says, "You have no idea the amount of pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation."

"Agency employees typically are polygraphed every three to four years. Never more than that," said former CIA operative and CNN analyst Robert Baer…

"If somebody is being polygraphed every month, or every two months it’s called an issue polygraph, and that means that the polygraph division suspects something, or they’re looking for something, or they’re on a fishing expedition. But it’s absolutely not routine at all to be polygraphed monthly, or bi-monthly," said Baer…

Among the many secrets still yet to be told about the Benghazi mission, is just how many Americans were there the night of the attack. A source now tells CNN that number was 35, with as many as seven wounded, some seriously…

The lack of information and pressure to silence CIA operatives is disturbing to U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf, whose district includes CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia

In the aftermath of the attack, Wolf said he was contacted by people closely tied with CIA operatives and contractors who wanted to talk. Then suddenly, there was silence.

"Initially they were not afraid to come forward. They wanted the opportunity, and they wanted to be subpoenaed, because if you’re subpoenaed, it sort of protects you, you’re forced to come before Congress. Now that’s all changed," said Wolf…

It’s probably just a coincidence.

Lawmakers also want to about know the weapons in Libya, and what happened to them.

Speculation on Capitol Hill has included the possibility the U.S. agencies operating in Benghazi were secretly helping to move surface-to-air missiles out of Libya, through Turkey, and into the hands of Syrian rebels…

This is probably the first time this theory has been reported in the so-called mainstream media. But it is beginning to make more and more sense.

it’s readily apparent that even the republicans who are claiming to “want to get to the bottom of this” don’t really want to. if there are 35 CIA agents who want to tell their story to congress, how flipping hard is it? I believe john boner to be ineffectual, but is he so weak he can’t promise some mid level staffer in the intelligence community that he won’t lose his job in exchange for congressional testimony?

like every other issue (or phony scandal) that has risen – admin won’t willingly reveal any info, republicans won’t ask any questions = status quo

    it’s all political posturing.
I am rapidly losing faith that there is anyone in either house of congress able to make a difference. I will continue contacting my senators and reps, but since ID is so small, they don’t have much pull. these are sorry times for our nation.

      yadayada,

My thoughts exactly. The question is ‘why is this the status quo?’
Just gotta wonder who is really running this show.

  2. You are so right yadayada. When I call DC and talk to Rep. staff, they act like I’m an inconvience to them and a nut job. Well, they’re right about the second part.

Speculation on Capitol Hill has included the possibility the U.S. agencies operating in Benghazi were secretly helping to move surface-to-air missiles out of Libya, through Turkey, and into the hands of Syrian rebels…

Glenn Beck said that on day one except the rebels just happen to be Al Queada! What a nut job he is…. (sarc)

  3. CNN has uncovered exclusive new information about what is allegedly happening at the CIA…

Since when does CNN uncover anything? They’ve uncovered that there is a coverup that’s being covered up. When CNN comes out with the names and addresses and phone numbers and social security numbers of these CIA operatives who were on the ground, then I’ll believe they’ve uncovered something. When they tell me who actually wrote the threatening communications to those operatives, then I’ll believe they’ve uncovered something. When CNN finally admits that our illustrious leader is a serial lawbreaker and purposefully wipes his ass with the constitution at every opportunity, then I’ll believe they’ve uncovered something.

The whole gun running aspect of this story is old un-news. We all know something shady was going on. We all know Obama and Hitlery were fully in the loop. We all know Obama should be impeached and jailed for treason. But what’s Lindsay Lohan doing these days?

    • Well said and dead on target.

It’s like we’re living in bizarro world. Just a mere 20 or 30 years ago Li’l Hussein would have never won a second term on the state of the economy alone and he certainly would have been impeached by now for all his unconstitutional “going around congress” and other crimes. Hillary, Holder and the gang would all be facing charges for lying to congress, for starters, not to mention all the other escapades and outright lawlessness of these people. I can only believe it’s all in the plan of the Almighty that the sheeple go blindly to the slaughter and I pray daily for our Blessed Hope. That’s all I have left. Well,….almost all.

I wholeheartedly believe in the theory that the CIA ( with “O’s” and Hitlery’s knowledge) were running arms to the rebels, but I can think of only one answer to the question of why “O” told everyone to “stand-down” and went to sleep after he was informed of the attack. His actions (or in-actions) are explained only if he thought (or knew) that the attack would result in Ambassador Stevens capture. Stevens could then be offered in a swap for the blind sheik, someone who “O” and the rebels wanted released. When he arose the next morning and found that things had not turned out as planned, the sh** hit the fan and the spin went into overdrive.
