What I am hearing from a couple of boots on the ground – is that they will be less safe in this transition ’stage’ than just about any time since the surge went into overdrive.

I still have active duty family members – including a cousin’s s-i-l who is over there as we speak (as was suppose to be my s-i-l – who is working on adding an ex- onto that instead) – and I would have wished a Military driven withdrawal from Iraq rather than a politically expedient bow to the foaming at the mouth leftist fringe withdrawal.

And I do wonder what The One ™ is going to do – when Iran invades Iraq? And oh won’t that be a absolute destabilization of the region?

It is a shame – America was so on the way to securing victory and leave it to the Dems to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory – the next step will be to defund the entire GWOT and watch Iraq not become a third world gutter like Vietnam – but rather a terrorist haven and just another county of Iran.
