4 Jurors (Don’t) Distance Themselves From B37

From the Associated Press:

4 jurors distance themselves from Juror B37

By MIKE SCHNEIDER | July 17, 2013

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Four of the jurors at the George Zimmerman trial distanced themselves late Tuesday from statements that another juror made in a televised interview.

The four jurors issued a brief statement on court stationary saying that the opinions expressed by Juror B37 to CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Monday night are not representative of their views.

"The opinions of Juror B37, expressed on the Anderson Cooper show were her own, and not in any way representative of the jurors listed below," said the statement, signed by Jurors B51, B76, E6 and E40.

And yet they go on to say the same things that Juror B37 said, almost word for word:

Juror B37 said the actions of Zimmerman and 17-year-old Trayvon Martin both led to the teenager’s fatal shooting last year, but that Zimmerman didn’t actually break the law. The four other jurors said in their statement that Martin’s death weighed on them.

"Serving on this jury has been a highly emotional and physically draining experience for each of us," the statement said. "The death of a teenager weighed heavily on our hearts but in the end we did what the law required us to do."

All of which Juror B37 said as well. So this is really a non-story. These jurors do not believe that Zimmerman was guilty of either second degree murder or manslaughter. And they did not mention racism.

But the AP and the rest of the news media are seizing upon their ‘distancing’ so they can put up headlines like the here. Headlines calculated to make the low information voters think the other jurors thought Zimmerman really was guilty of murder and that he really is a racist.

They also made a request for privacy. The court has not released the names of the six-woman jury, which included five whites and one woman who appeared to reporters to be Hispanic.

So this was not an establish fact. The reporters were just profiling her.

The interview came two days after the jury acquitted Zimmerman, a former neighborhood watch volunteer, of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Martin in a gated community in Sanford, Fla. Martin was black, and Zimmerman identifies himself as Hispanic.

You see? Zimmerman just calls himself Hispanic. Our media guardians have not issued an official ruling.

Zimmerman was not arrested for 44 days, and the delay in charging him led to protests from those who believed race was a factor in the handling of the case.

It couldn’t have been that there was no evidence that he committed any crime. As the jury later found.

While prosecutors accused Zimmerman of profiling Martin, Zimmerman maintained he acted in self-defense. He claimed Martin was slamming his head into the concrete sidewalk when he fired the gun…

So according to the AP, the facts of the case are still up in the air. The trial proved nothing.

“…which included five whites and one woman who appeared to reporters to be Hispanic. “

So….let the fomenting begin. If not whites against blacks….hispanics against blacks will do. After all it’s a “well-known fact” that blacks and hispanics hate one another and the only reason that could be true is because whites will employ a Mexican before they employ a black so therefore, it’s whitey’s fault again!

See what I did there? Used left-wing “logic” to circumvent reason and good-sense to connect some dots and arrive at an emotional conclusion.

I should run for office or, at the very least, get a job as a news reporter.

Zimmerman was not arrested for 44 days, and the delay in charging him led to protests from those who believed race was a factor in the handling of the case.

    BBZZZZZZZT! Wrongo, buffalo breath.

The way this should be correctly written is: “Protests led to the arresting of Zimmerman, spurred on by none other than Eric Holder’s and obama’s prying into the legal affairs of a state.”

See, the protests were DOCUMENTED as having funding provided by the DOJ. Steve reported on that on this very site and numerous other sites as well divulged the information.

But….no, no, no. Can’t have the truth. Socialism must triumph. White man = bad. Brown people = good. Get on board with that or suffer the consequences.

The white man is becoming the “Jew” of the 21st century and just like 1930′s Germany, the rhetoric is ginning up to a fevered pitch. Just like 1930′s Germany, it’s a fabricated straw-man argument and real lives are going to suffer for it. The MILLIONS of Jews who were murdered in the holocaust seems to have dwindled into nothingness.

I am going to make a bumper sticker: “Proud to be an evil white man”.

    • The difference being that we, white people, still out number brown people in this country and we own most of the guns. So the fate of the jews in 1930′s Europe will not be the fate of whitey in 21st century America. Quite the opposite. It’s gonna be a blood bath.

From what I got when I hear this the only distancing these jurors did was from the part about Zimmerman being overzealous.
