Maybe Obama is attending Rev. Jackson’s church? You know, the one where Bill Clinton appeared after the Lewinsky “problem” and made a quick appearance to announce he would be undergoing intensive counseling.

I don’t like to make judgements about the personal motivation of other’s, but Obama’s Christianity appears to be more political expediency than anything else. Just like Clinton, he can wear the cloak of religion when it suits him. Does he really have any personal faith? I doubt its a question any of us can answer, but his timing does seem to fit the scenario of using religion as one more prop to get elected.

I have to agree, I am a Catholic who went to a mostly Presbyterian college. I joined a lot of informal ‘comparative religion’ discussions between dorm-mates and myself, discussing differences between Presbyterianism and Catholicism. I never once became confused as did the ‘eloquent speaker’ who would become ‘President.’ When it’s what you believe, you don’t have to think about it and you do not get confused, especially if you are a “clean, articulate” candidate.
