Activists To Protest Gore Honorary Degree

From a dismayed Associated Press:

Activists gather to protest Gore’s honorary degree

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Al Gore’s honorary degree from the University of Tennessee has drawn the ire of activists who think the former vice president’s work on climate change is misguided.

Several dozen activists have gathered in Knoxville to speak out against giving Gore an honorary doctorate in ecology and evolutionary biology at graduation ceremonies Friday.

The activists planned to gather outside the ceremony to highlight what Antonio Hinton, who helped organize the event, called "a blatant and fraudulent lie" perpetuated by Gore, who won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize along with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

"All that man does is get awards and accolades that he does not deserve," said Hinton, 36. "We want to let the University of Tennessee know they ought to be ashamed of themselves." …

Speaking of “blatant and fraudulent” lies, Al Gore just bought a $9 million beachfront house in Santa Barbara.

After having warned us all these years about rising sea levels.

I would agree with those protesting Gore’s honorary degree. But like so much of what he’s done, having an honorary degree is useless. It does not show he’s done any work or is deserving of anything…come to think of it. maybe this is exactly what he should get.

Now all I need to do is convince him to donate that house to charity. As a liberal, he knows those less fortunate than Al really need it. Not him. After all, he’s got another mansion in TN already. It’s not really sustainable to have more than one house and especially to fly (gasp) there to use it only part of the year. Shows the hypocrisy in these “Climate Change” types. Just want you to do all the changing. It does not effect his lifestyle as evidenced by this additional home.

What’s the honorary degree in – culinary science?

Gore better be careful on the beach of his Santa Barbara mansion. Lots of people will surely try to push him back into the water.

…..”What’s the honorary degree in – culinary science?”…..

If I had to guess, I’d say horticulture……specifically “The Benefits to the Applicator of Widely Distributed Fertilizer”.

I can’t believe they’re giving this nut a doctorate in ecology. What has he done besides push hyped up fake numbers in the role of pushing social justice and wealth redistribution under the guise of protecting the enviroment and preventing global warming.

I took my daughter out of public school because they taught the theory of evolution as fact and they wouldn’t let her pray, read the 10 Commandments, or pledge allegiance to our flag. I took her out of private school because the same atheists infiltrated that school. Now we home-school and it’s the best thing we’ve ever done (sadly). If colleges won’t allow conservatives to speak because kids get extra credit from their idiot professors for disruption, then I guess it’s time to opt out. I don’t want my daughter (or my money) going to any of these schools and supporting these jerks any longer. Let the useful idiots get the degrees from these worthless schools. The way things are going, it won’t matter if you go to college or not.

College and such are overrated these days to be sure. But I would consider carefully.

For some ways of life or lines of work college etc makes NO difference even now, for others it does.

Take a look at Hillsdale college. You may like what you see.
