Aides: ‘Obama Is Madder Than Hell’ Over VA Scandal

From an unquestioning Reuters:

Top aide says Obama ‘madder than hell’ about veterans allegations

May 18, 2014

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough said President Barack Obama is "madder than hell" about possible deadly healthcare delays at the Department of Veterans Affairs and is determined to investigate and fix any flaws in the system. "We’re going to get to the bottom of those things, fix them and ensure that they don’t happen again," McDonough said on CBS’s "Face the Nation" in an interview aired on Sunday.

Which is also exactly what Obama said about Benghazi. (And look how that has turned out.) And the IRS scandal. (And look at how that has turned out.)

The amount of Obama’s (faux) anger doesn’t seem to guarantee anything will ever come of it. Unless you are a Republican or a Conservative or a Tea Party supporter.

The allegations that delays in treatment at veterans hospitals could have led to otherwise preventable deaths has sparked a growing political scandal, including calls for the resignation of VA Secretary Eric Shinseki.

A top department official, Undersecretary of Health Dr. Robert Petzel, resigned on Friday in a move critics said was an effort at damage control.

Notice that Reuters still hasn’t gotten the news that Dr. Petzel was already scheduled to retire this year.

But McDonough sidestepped questions about whether Shinseki had Obama’s full confidence. "The president will continue to demand that he and all of us who work for him continue to fix these things until they are functioning the way that our veterans believe they should," McDonough said….

You mean until it is functioning like Obama-Care?

Dr. Sam Foote, a whistleblower in the VA case, said on "Fox News Sunday" that Petzel’s resignation was "a great first step". He said there was no way officials in Washington did not know of the issue…

Of course, they knew in Washington. They were busy trying to cover it up.

Allegations have been reported about similar cover-up schemes at VA medical facilities in at least seven other cities. The agency runs the largest U.S. healthcare group, overseeing some 1,700 hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and other facilities.

And these are the same people Obama wants to put in charge of running all of our hospitals and medical treatments eventually.

Of course, the truth is that what pisses obama off more than anything is that these administrative issues are very distracting and take away from his destroying the nation and his golf time. He’s pissed cuz he can’t just autocratically eradicate the VA in the first place.

Obama’s view of veterans is clearly and obviously very dim. His shallow and narrow view of us is criminal. Not the kind of thing a president should be known for. Every president going back for some generations at least has donned the uniform at some point, even Johnson and Carter. But clinton was a dope-smoking loser as was obama.

They hold the military in contempt and ridicule. And it shows at every glance, statement and issue.

“healthcare delays at the Department of Veterans Affairs …”
this was just the trials for the death panels.
but as it is clear, no such thing is required .
    its built right in .

Nerobama is madder than hell this time. (Again.)

He is demanding a full investigation. (Again.)

The investigation is going to take many months, perhaps years, to complete. (Again.)

But in the meantime some old white guy who was about to retire is going to be forced … well … to retire. (Again.)

But there is not a smidgeon of corruption. (Again.)

Hm, Petzel, how fitting a name.

As in “Petzel Logic”. Yes, I know it needs an “R” but that’s the beauty of it.

You know, when I was in the military, the constant bureaucracy drove me bananas. There’s a M*A*S*H episode where a guy is going trough a hell of a time just trying to cut his way through Army red-tape.

When I got out of the military, I actually said I won’t miss all the forms, lines, gibberish technical babble and all the trappings of how humans devise ways to make other humans surly, uncooperative and generally irritable just trying to do a simple thing.

Well….in the civvie world there was the DMV, the doctor’s office and a few others but now it’s going into a scale that will rival the military with destructo-care. The VA debacle in Phoenix is but a telling gauge to how bad it’ll be when GovCo is in our daily lives with everything. What we eat, where we go, how we act, what we say, etc. Suntanning, diet, exercise, choice of hours we keep, etc.

I read postings sometimes by the immensely ignorant who think that all this socialism is a good thing because it’ll “take care of the people”.

    *sigh*

I don’t want to be “taken care of” but I would just like to be left alone so that I can make the choices that work for me so I can TAKE CARE OF MYSELF. The differentiation isn’t that glaring but, I suppose to those on the low rungs of the mental ladder, it’s “easier” to have GovCo look after you.

    Again— *sigh*

The philosophical and ideological paradox presented is easy for us to discern but for the basement-dwellers, not so much.

As John-Boy and Billy might say, when asked, “Hey, that obama-care…how’s it workin’ out?”

    “NOT–TOO—GOOOOOD”

Sadly, even if we regain the senate and keep the house in November, the establishment RINO’s will decide to “fix” the healthcare law, with the argument being “We can’t repeal it…it’s the law.”

It makes my head hurt. Ignoring the people who sent them into office.

OK….guess sometimes you just have to pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

It was 1st lady who said her calling was caring for US troops shortly after 1st election, and then before the 2nd election it was Michello and VP-Biden’s wife together doing those commercials that the two of them’s mission was taking care of our US Troops.
