Al-Qaeda Planned Attacks Upon Russia

From Russia’s (highly inventive) Pravda:

Al-Qaeda prepares terrorist attacks in Russia

Russian special services disclosed monstrous designs of international terrorist network al-Qaeda. The organization intended to conduct a series of terrorist attacks in Russia during the celebration of the Orthodox Easter.

Terrorists planned to explode a building of the Federal Security Bureau in Moscow, a building of an aircraft-making association and a tan-yard in Kazan. They also planned to assassinate a high-ranking FSB official, Boris G.

Russian special services left no chances to the terrorists. Eight al-Qaeda members have made their way to Kazan using fake passports. Three of the terrorists are Russians.

“They originally were given Indian passports, but they later decided to issue Azeri passports for them, because it is always easy for guest-workers to remain inconspicuous,” an official said.

The special services have obtained the verbal descriptions of all the three suspects. The first one of them, Mohammad Yunus bin Mussa is a 35-year-old red-haired well-built male. The second one is Janes Han bin Ali Khan, a 32-year-old, dark-haired male. The third suspect is identified as Sodjat Ali Shakh bin Makbul Ali Shakh, 35, dark hair. The three men are fluent in Russian, Pushtu, Dari, as well as the Arab and the Turkish, Life.ru reports.

“The terrorists planned to use car bombs in their subversive activities. The Russian services have obtained the numbers of those wheeled bombs,” an official said.

In addition to Easter terrorist attacks, the gunmen planned to hold arson attacks of the buildings of the Internal Affairs Ministry, the FSB and the offices of United Russia Party.

Given that this report comes from Pravda, there is probably very little truth in it. On the other hand, you can’t put anything past Al Qaeda. (Even attacking their allies.)

In any case, it is somewhat refreshing to see terrorists called terrorists for a change.

If this is true it would likely spell the end of Al-Qaeda; the Russians have never taken kindly to terrorism against them and aren’t afraid of offending terrorists.

      GL: I agree

The best thing that could happen to the world would be for the terrorists to directly attack Russia or China.

Unlike the libwit commiecrats, they aren’t cowards.

‘The Russians don’t have a rule book or a meddling media!!

You’ve got to respect the way Russia handles POS like this. But if this is true, how long do you think it will be before the Obama administration is throwing money and arms to Al-Qaeda?

    • GL0120 says:

      Wow, that’s a real conundrum!
I can imagine TCO’s plight; should he support the terrorists who hate the U.S. or the Russians who hate the U.S.?
He’s already pushing the country towards communism so helping the Russians would be good.
On the other hand, he’s all for One-World-Government and the terrorists are helping advance that idea by attacking everyone so maybe helping them would be best.
Decisions, decisions, time to call Hillary to the picnic table again.

RN: “how long do you think it will be before the Obama administration is throwing money and arms to Al-Qaeda?”

What makes you think that isn’t happening already.

I doubt if the administration is, but Soros and the OSoros’s other backers…..I think they probably fund a good bit of terrorism around the world. Their goal is to destroy capitalism and terrorism is a good ally in that effort.

In my country, terrorism watches YOU!

I concur. I would love for them to pull the same crap that they pull on us and then watch as the Russians pretty much level the planet looking for them. And, should that happen…Obambi will “vehemently condemn” their actions while secretly loving the fact that he can, once again, count on a third party to do something HE should have done in the first place.

I actually look forward to the radical muslims stepping on the wrong toe. Never thought I’d be all for the Russians but in this case, I’d want a front-row seat.

    You got it right friends.

The focus of Olenin’s War on Terror is………….veterans.

It’s sounds so much like the rest of the world, I believe it’s true. Obama’s huggie thing may have kicked it up. Best thing the world can do for itself is to tell Obama per phone conference only.
