Americans Associate Islam With Violence!

From a thoroughly outraged Associated Press:

Americans still associate Islam with violence

By Daniel Trotta – Fri Aug 20, 2010

NEW YORK (Reuters) – The furor over plans to build a Muslim cultural center near the World Trade Center site shows nine years of efforts to separate Islam from association with terrorism have largely failed, experts say.

"I’d take it one step further. I’d say that it’s far, far worse today than it was in the immediate aftermath of 9/11," said Reza Aslan, a writer and scholar on religion, using the shorthand for the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Gee, why on earth would that be? Certainly, 9/11 was the last time that there has been any violence whatsoever associated with Mohammedans.

Public opinion polls show more than 60 percent of Americans oppose building the proposed Muslim cultural center and mosque two blocks from the site known as "Ground Zero."

Former U.S. President George W. Bush repeatedly sought to separate Islam from the al Qaeda hijackers who carried out the attacks there and on the Pentagon

If the media can’t induce Mr. Bush to come out and personally defend Mr. Obama on this matter, they will simply do it for him this way.

[A]nd all major American Muslim organizations have issued repeated statements condemning violence in the name of Islam.

Sure they have.

But that message has been overpowered by news coverage of the seemingly endless attacks on civilians often claimed by al Qaeda, the Taliban and other Islamist extremists in the Muslim world, in addition to images of U.S. troops fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan

Perhaps the news media should stop reporting these “seemingly endless attacks.” After all, who really knows if they actually were done by Muslims or not.

Receiving far less attention are regular statements from the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim Public Affairs Council, and the Council on American-Islamic Relations strongly condemning any violence perpetrated in the name of Islam

You mean to say that the milquetoast "statements’ from these worthies have gotten less attention than the dozens of terrorist attacks on our country? What is this world coming to?

By the way, if you are belaboring under any illusions about these Islamic groups, you can begin your education by reading about the Islamic Circle of North America at Discover The Networks.

Discover The Networks also has a nice write up on the Muslim Public Affairs Council, which it describes as a “Los Angeles-based Muslim organization whose leadership defends extremist violence.”

And, lest we forget, CAIR was an ‘unindicted co-conspirator’ in the Holy Land Foundation trial. Discover The Networks has more on their background, as well.

Both Muslim and non-Muslim religious scholars generally support that view of the faith’s mainstream, but for many Americans extremist actions have had more resonance than the moderate majority’s words and practices

This is simply untrue. Many of Islamic scholars, such as those at Islam Q&A declare that jihad is a more important duty for Muslims than even performing a Hajj (trip to Mecca).

The Associated Press is simply and blatantly lying about a major tenet of Islam.

Republicans have seized on the controversy over the plan [to build a mosque at ‘Ground Zero’] ahead of midterm elections where Democrats are fighting to retain control of Congress amid difficult economic conditions…

And of course the fact that Americans have somehow come to associated violence with Islam is all the fault of those dastardly Republicans who will stop at nothing in their ruthless pursuit of power. Indeed, the AP has far more hatred for members of the GOP than would ever have for those heroic terrorists ‘Muslim extremists.’

Religious scholar Aslan blames "Islamophobia" that he said was being whipped by the Republican Party establishment.

"They are making religious bigotry — just as they made anti-immigrant sentiment — part of their political platform," Aslan said. "Democrats in the most cowardly fashion have completely caved in to this challenge."

Which of course is why the AP went to Mr. Aslan in the first place. They knew they could put their words in his mouth. Still, who knew that Harry Reid and Howard Dean were part of the “Republican Party establishment”?

Of course the AP would never let such petty objections as that get in their way of labeling an entire political party – and a vast majority of the American populace – as religious bigots.

The AP are that desperate. And that despicable.

I will use phraseology that would most commonly be heard from our American Indians.

What the article said is true. But what the muslims say is unimportant and we do not hear their words.

In short, the best efforts of the MSM to shill/cover up for Muslims have gone for naught because Muslims have perpetually shown themselves to be sub-human thugs, murderers and psychos. Well gee whiz! So Islam calls for strapping bombs on the backs of 8 year old kids and sending them into pizza joints….it could be WORSE! I mean, they COULD want to put Nativity scenes in front of a courthouse!!

The whole country isn’t just racist and homophobic, we are islamophobes as well.

No wonder we need to be subjegated by our betters.

  6. canary says:

U.S. President George W. Bush repeatedly sought to separate Islam from the al Qaeda…, however he knew the meaning of “terrorist” and “imprison terrorists “, and ordered protection on Mexican border,

Muslim President Barack Obama continuously seeks to worship with, pray with, bow with, & give freedom to terrorists, torment & murder our military as they’ve become slaves for muslim, & Americans are suppose embrace and treat muslims better than ourselves. Obama wrote Whites would soon be a minority, so American women are to join & marry muslim and having lot’s of children that gay couples can adopt.

“Are One-Quarter of Americans Freakin’ Morons?” (Time Magazine/ Amy Sullivan – link below)

    Yes, they are –
I case you happen to harbor a suspicion regarding Obama’s motives in his intervention in the ground-zero mosque issue, and about his authentic religious persuasion, yes, you are a freakin’ moron –

Yes, of course – and in case you still feign that you don’t know what liberals (and alas! the Democrat tops) really think about Americans, you are also a freakin’ moron –

Believe it or not – and the Democrat party still gets voters –

-‘The furor over plans to build a Muslim cultural center near the World Trade Center site shows nine years of efforts to separate Islam from association with terrorism have largely failed’- for this American household – only as far as Ground Zero is concerned.

And part of the problem is that since 1979 – it seems that the majority of these horrid attacks and bombing are carried out by radical terrorists who happen to be islamic. Which just might be the reason that Americans associate Islam with violence. I don’t pay attention to the JournoLists when they ‘report’ that some islamic terror group ‘claims’ to be behind an attack – but rather later when the name(s) and backgrounds come out -then it is proven that the attacker(s) are radical terrorists who happen to be islamic.

And I have yet to read anything from any American Islamic group that ‘strongly condemning any violence perpetrated in the name of Islam’ yet. They hedge, they craft, they mince and shade word – they do not condemn much less strongly condemn.

  10. proreason says:

Gee, this could explain a few things.

It turns out the Rev Wright’s flavor of Chritianity is, let us say, Muslim-friendly. In other words, you can be “Christian” in his church and never reject Islam or be baptized as a Christian. Convenient for a certain type of “believer”, isn’t it?

Now, my view has been that the Moron is an athiest,…….but this is a very interesting piece of information that may move me off that dot. He adamently insists that he is “Christian”, but there is no evidence he has ever attended a chuch other than Mad Reverend Wright’s little nexus of hate.

It seems to explain the Moron’s rather peculiar affection for religious practices that are antiethical to, oh, about 85 to 90% of Americans, not to talk about the side of Islam that has a habit of blowing up or beheading people from other religions, while at the same time espousing his “faith”.

And, of course, I’m reminded that he does have a rather creative way of dealing with facts, and truth……and the definition of “is” and somesuch. Certainly, our beloved leader wouldn’t stretch the truth on a matter as sensitive has his true religious feelings. Why, that would be almost dishonest, so it just can’t be true of the most ethical man to ever walk the face of the earth.

    • canary says:

Pro, in dreans Obama wrote many that attended Wright’s church did not attend for religion, but for the Black Nationality movement, African culture history. Many did not believein the Trinity, but Obama’s organizers & groomers pressured him he needed to join a church. Wright even told Obama upon meeting him, that his reputation might hurt Obama’s mission. Obama made it clear members did not have to believe in the trinity, or resurrection. Obama claimed he wanted to learn more about the mysteries of God. He also is still comsumed with Malcolm X muslim religion during the time he started attending Wright’s church.
Also, the ministering to gangbangers, sex offenders, & nursery care, etc. was a lure for people to attend Wright’s church no matter their belief.
In Hope Obama is critical of white people’s churches, and makes several statements that black churches are better than white churches because the minister to it’s members more. Some expertise from a man who avoided Christian churches.

Also, just because Obama claims his father Obama Sr. was an atheist, does not mean the muslim culture he was exposed to, especially being raised by a muslim step-father. His mother also, was culturally bound by muslim. Hiding his dipping into muslim religion at this grandparents in H.S. to life long muslim friends & family. So, the culture is there.

And I will bet the muslims he just had at the White House for Ramadmen holiday, led to a situation where the men spent time alone in a room, as women can’t worship with men, and I’ll bet Obama got on the floor, faced Mecca and prayed with them.

  11. Tater Salad says:

Americans……….Please don’t be so gullible and buy into this Muslim thing. This is a cult and they hate everyone that is NOT a Muslim.

The Koran states: Sura 61:9 He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islamic monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the Mushrikin (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah and His Messenger Muhammad) hate (it). (Hilali and Khan, The Noble Qur’an, Riyadh: Darussalam, 1996)

Allah’s Messenger said: “By Him (Allah) in Whose Hand my soul is, surely the son of Mary [Isa (Jesus)] will shortly descend amongst you people (Muslims), and will judge mankind justly by the Law of the Quran (as a just ruler) and will break the Cross and kill pigs and abolish the Jizyah [a tax] ….” (Bukhari 3:2222) .

Is there nothing which will compel We The People to stand up and say: “It stops here and no further,” shall this be America’s crucifixion?

Or, shall the American people create a feathered bed for all those who plan our demise, who work diligently for our destruction and for those who will celebrate the day America will be no more.

  12. Natural Born Citizen says:

BHO said he converted to Christianity when he joined Rev Wrights church. Converted from what? Seems pretty obvious. Unless of course this is another case of Taqiyya. Also if Muslims felt that BHO had renounced Islam he would be considered an Apostate which is seen as a worse crime than murder under Sharia law. Instead of celebrating his administration muslims attitude would be very negative to say the least.

    • proreason says:

      excellent point.

can you convert from atheism? But atheism is a lack of belief, not a belief system. Very interesting.

Maybe he was a Buddhist and just hasn’t told us yet.

  13. canary says:

The Quaran says that muslims can lie in order to hide their belief from unbelievers, For instance, the Quaran says a muslim can skip “prayers” to hide their belief.

So, Obama hasn’t even hid from the public his absolute worship of allah.

Obama has lied about the degree of commitment he has towards allah.

It was with great reluctance, & totally driven by political motivation, and took the pulling of nails for Obama to
vaguely comment he is a Christian. Believing in Jesus is not a big deal. Or that Jesus is the son of God, as muslims can argue we are all children of God.

I’ve noticed some false teachings the muslims are trying to make people believe they think Jesus and Mary were prophets of God, and this is a lie. The Quran says Mary & Jesus were wrong, and not to follow them.

The Quran I read with the above, along with the cutting of body parts, 4 witnesses is not as fluent as todays versions.

So, it is a lie for a muslim to say that radical muslims have changed it or to say Sharia Law is not the true muslim religion. It’s all lies and propaganda. And the muslims believe lying is a very important thing to practice, in order to spread Islam.

  14. BannedbytheTaliban says:

When you look at all the open conflicts in the world, from China, Somalia, Iraq, Israel, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Philippines, etc. you will find Islam.
