Ann Coulter On Polls And Pro Al-Qaeda Obama

More feigned outrage from the invincibly ignorant reporters at the Associated Press:

Ann Coulter: ‘Newsweek’ Teaming Up with al-Qaeda To Help Obama

May 09, 2007 12:10 AM

NEW YORK A recent Newsweek poll showing Democrat Barack Obama leading top Republican presidential hopefuls could have been made up and might help al-Qaeda, syndicated columnist commentator Ann Coulter said in her latest verbal broadside.

Coulter, a best-selling author known for outrageous and often controversial statements, was asked on Fox News’ “At Large” what she thought about the survey results.

“I think this is Newsweek doing more push polling for al-Qaeda,” she said, referring to campaign-season telephone calls to voters masquerading as neutral surveys but designed to build opposition to targeted candidates.

Asked by host Geraldo Rivera whether she thought Newsweek would make up the results, Coulter said, “Yes, I do,” adding, “In polls where people are actually allowed to vote, Republicans do a lot better.”
Coulter did not explain how the poll might help the terrorist group

Does that really need to be explained? Barack Obama is against the war in Iraq. He wants us to surrender immediately.

Even the AP should be able to understand how that might be good for Al Qaeda.

Luckily for Mr. Obama, the Sulky Silky Pony has ridden to his rescue.

Edwards blasts Coulter, comes to Obama’s aid

By Klaus Marre

Presidential hopeful John Edwards Wednesday strongly criticized conservative pundit Ann Coulter for remarks she made about Edwards’s main rival for the Democratic nomination — Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.).

Coulter told Fox News that a poll showing Obama beating the top Republican presidential contenders was fabricated and could help al Qaeda, according to the Associated Press.

Just when we thought Ann Coulter couldn’t take the politics of personal destruction any lower, she proved us wrong,” Edwards said. “Her outrageous comments are inexcusable and should not be tolerated in the public dialogue.”

I hope the phrase “just when we thought Ann Coulter couldn’t get any lower” ought to be on a macro somewhere. The Democrats and their lickspittle slaveys in the media must be tired of typing it by now.

It’s argument by repetition. But repeating an untruth doesn’t make it any less untrue.

Nothing Coulter said about Obama or Newsweek was untrue.
