It is my personal opinion that if you don't have Jerri-curl in your hair (?) or you haven't sired 5 kids outta wedlock.........you best become proficient at collecting cans and toting firepower because you ain't got a chance in H-E-L-L of being anything during the run of the Halfrican American President. It kills me that personal responsibility is out the window and Common Sense is neither!

If your kids aren't smart and motivated enough to become trial lawyers (my #1 pick for careers in ObamaNation), then public employee union official is a solid backup plan.

Groups like SEIU and ACORN get a pass on corruption. For the left, where the end justifies any means, corruption is acceptable.

Meanwhile, a company like Wal-Mart is constantly harassed though they run an honest business. They’re demonized simply because they reject the left’s beloved unions – a terrible offense to them. The radical is a mindless tool and unaffected by hypocrisy.

“Why are government employees allowed to form a union?”

That’s the tail wagging the dog :) It's typically the unions that seek/coerce them. In my state the government is working on legislation that will force non-union government employees to pay dues even if they don’t join. They claim that the union will benefit even non-members so they should pay dues as well. So many will just go ahead and join since they’re paying anyway.

“They work for a monopoly and do not need collective bargaining to get a fair wage.”

Exactly, but bargaining to get “fair wages” is more of a front for their real function today. Unions are political powerhouses and they’re more concerned with self-preservation and political influence. More members equals more money (and votes) to buy and elect politicians.

I work with Government employees on occasion (as little as possible) and have found the 80/20 rule is accurate. 20% of them are good, honest, and very hard working people and do the plurality of the work. The other 80% aren't worth killing, hence their desire for union protection. And you also make a good point - unless one of those idiots is caught surfing porn on their computer, they’re there for life…

Why are government employees allowed to form a union? They work for a monopoly and do not need collective bargaining to get a fair wage. After all, even in California, they have yet to lay off the 10k employees they threatened too. We must remember that once a job is created by the government it never goes away no matter how unnecessary.

"What does that tell you?"

It tells me that we are screwed and that our descendents are facing a bleak future unless something is done quickly to stop these totalitarians.
