Listen people! We can find out if someone won the Powerball light years faster than we can figure out who won our own presidency.

I know Democrats have blocked a lot of efforts to legitimize our voting process, but we have had decades to do this. If all the Obama supporters vote 7 or 8 times, whose fault is it really? It is better to spend money to give everyone a free I.D., a free ride to and from the damn registration office, than to have fraudulent elections. What ever the issue, make it happen, but it's too late now.

Again, why do we need anyone to register ANYONE?

How hard is it to fill out that form, get real. And our tax dollars should not be funding these partisan groups! How many Republcans have they registered?

Ummm "Dear Republic" "Change with the times" At what point do we not recognize our "Dear Republic" anymore? When we allow anyone who can walk across our border vote with no ID or any documentation? For goodness sake there are some places in this country that don't require any form of ID to vote. The FFs as you call them made it very difficult to alter the Constitution for a reason but we have people in this country that would just wad it up and throw it away. It's bad enough that we have added amendments like the 17th. A quick read of the constitution will clearly show what the founders intended.

Ummm, universal suffrage was NEVER at the core of our democracy. In fact, the founding Fathers never intended a DEMOCRACY! Democracy was a dirty word...which is why we live in a REPUBLIC. The FFs knew that times would change so they drafted a document that could change with the times and the vote was extended to freed African men, and then women. However, the original intent of the landowning class voting was that people who voted would have a stake in their govenment. They produced and participated to their nation (ideally).

But then again, the Founding Fathers said that the republic would last so long as its leaders were moral. Elect Obama and see what happens to our dear republic (it's already withstood 8 years of Clinton).

It's my understanding that a non-profit cannot endorse a candidate or even give the impression of endorsing a candidate. I know churches can lose their tax exempt status for endorsing a candidate (unless it's a black church then the dems are free to campaign and raise money in them) Make even a slight move towards investigating these scum like ACORN and the cries of racist goes up.

I follow what you are saying David. May I interject that the principle logic that is missing to all of this is:
Personal Responsibility for ones lack of ones' own will !! Call me old fashioned if you want. Call me a racist, I don't care. But the one thing you can't call me is.....In Your Pocket!!

I have a truly bazaar idea... what if we had a policy that if any organization that was receiving tax money even has questions raised about it with regard to legal or ethical matters that it simply be shut down. The good that said organization would have been doing surely would be picked up by a more ethical one. Why is it that we expect a certain amount of underhandedness when it comes to living off the government? Only those programs that serve the undeniable public good would survive a policy like this, reducing both the cost of government and the corruption. I guess free money and ethics are polar opposites.

We hear a lot about people whose vote counts less than others, but if the American voter can understand that the percentage of illegal votes in any election is in direct proportion to the amount their own vote is discounted.

I can't undestand why a class action suit is not ascerted against Acorn and other similar agencies that under the 14th ammendment's equal protection act.

If anyone has any thoughts on this, I'd like to see it.

Fox this am showed Maxine Waters and someone else (horrible speaker) at an ACORN event - promoting Obama. The (not-so-honorable) Rep Waters' speech was so eloquent that it had to be bleeped in spots.

So ACORN is under investigation for registration 'irregularities' - now Fox showed that taxpayer funded supposed to be non-partisan ACORN is in the tank for Obama - what next? ACORN involved in election fraud?!?
