AP: DC Sniper Execution Causes Fear

From a mind reading Associated Press:

DC area relives terror as sniper’s execution nears

WHEATON, Md. — Serial sniper John Allen Muhammad’s upcoming execution has residents in the Washington area reliving the fear they felt during his three-week killing spree seven years ago.

Muhammad is set for lethal injection Tuesday in Virginia for shooting a man at a gas station. It was one of 10 deaths in and around the nation’s capital blamed on Muhammad and teenager Lee Boyd Malvo.

The attacks began with five shootings in about 12 hours. The random targets had people all over the region changing their habits to avoid becoming the next victim.

Experts say it’s not unusual for people to feel fearful all over again seven years later. Going through trauma like that alongside their neighbors can intensify the effects.

Isn’t it amazing the lack of coverage Mr. Muhammad’s well deserved execution is getting – even from the left?

Especially, given that this was worst terrorist attack on US soil until Mr. Hasan’s recent jihad.

But even with this natural tie-in, there has been very little coverage of Mr. Muhammad’s send-off, or any remembrances of his killing spree. Which is odd, given how much our watchdog media normally enjoy covering mass murderers.

And yet somehow talking about Muslim mass murderers always seems to be anathema to our watchdog media.

Note how even this article concentrates on the fears Mr. Muhammad’s execution is supposedly dredging up. Whereas we suspect most people would be relieved and gladdened at the news.

Say hello to Hitler, Arafat, Stalin, Lenin, Marx, Mao and Satan……sucker!

I suspect the Left actually admired the guy.

He had middle Americans cowering in fear, didn’t he?

I would be “honored” to throw the switch.

This is what the terrorist’s who live right here in the U.S. think of Americans:

Right here in New York. Just think, the liberal Democrats want to give these Muslim morons healthcare paid for by all U.S. taxpayers while they are preaching hate on our own soil.

The dumbing-down of American journalism continues …
The execution is not causing fear—the memory of what Muhammad did is prompting people to remember what it is he did to bring himself to where he is today. I am not afraid of his execution—he did the crime, now do the time. Or live with the consequences.
I’m betting TOTUS butts in somehow …

On the contrary, I think people will sleep sounder knowing that a mass murderer is dead.

Drat, those pesky Islamic radicals just can’t keep themselves out of the news.
What is the media to do?

  7. Chuckk says:

They should bring in Michael Jackson’s live in doctor to administer the drugs. I understand he needs the work.

  8. catie says:

Well, I’m not going to lose any sleep over him breathing his last. I wouldn’t be shocked though if that idiot gov. of ours, Tim Kaine (pro choice Catholic but anti-death penalty) gives him a reprieve before 2100 tomorrow evening. For my part, I’m pretty much pro-life across the board & this guy could make little rocks from big ones, but if anyone is deserving he and his comrade side kick are.

I wouldn’t be shocked either. The princess (a.k.a. the former VP-pageant queen-runner up) has a history of stopping executions.

    • Confucius says:

Fox News Radio just reported that Princess Tim Kaine will not stop the execution.

      I’m plotzing.

To all of the posters and friends on this webiste. It is a privledge to talk to you and to exchange our views and “cut & paste” features. You guys are the best. I just hope that the webmaster doesn’t kick me off the site in the future because of my big mouth and screwing up a posting from time to time. I get a little carried away at times. I hope you can put up with me, I mean no harm.

My only fear was that something would screw up the execution of this sub-human. I live in Montgomery County, MD and 3 (out of 10) of the people were killed within 1 mile of where I lived. Two others who were murdered lost their lives within 3-4 miles of where I live. I heard the shots that killed the bus driver early that Tuesday morning (the last one shot before these animals were captured.) So no, reliving some of this doesn’t make me fearful…the thoughts of him not being put to death make me fearful. My regret is that the younger man (Malvo) was under the age of 18 when he committed some of these crimes, so he’s not eligible for the death penalty, thanks to a wimpy SCOTUS a few years ago.

The victim’s and families will feel a calm peace when it’s over, though I understand some still want more info of unsolved deaths. And I’m not a capital punishment freak.

The fear isn’t from him being executed. The fear is that someone might delay it, and cause the reliving and not allow a since of closure and relief that he is dead, and can never get out. I think the media is just making alot of stuff up. Muslim Terrorists get so much sympathy.

Isn’t he the one that said deceive the enemy with kindness, then kill them. Or was that Hasan?
