AP: Dead ‘Migrant’ Boy’s Mom Begged Him Not Go To US

From the Associated Press:

Dead migrant boy’s mom begged him not to make trek

By SONIA PEREZ D. and CHRISTOPHER SHERMAN | July 1, 2014

SAN JOSE LAS FLORES, Guatemala (AP) — The mother of a Guatemalan boy whose body was found in the desert about a mile from Texas’ southern border said Tuesday she begged him not to make the dangerous journey from their modest cinder block- and sheet-metal home high in the northern Cuchumatanes mountains.

But Cipriana Juarez Diaz, ailing and bedridden, said her son Gilberto told her he wanted to earn money to help her. "I told him not to go but he wanted to help me get rid of my illness," Juarez Diaz, who has epilepsy, told The Associated Press on Tuesday…

We already know that one of Gilberto’s brothers is already living illegally in Chicago. Doesn’t he make enough money to support his bedridden mother? Is that why we need to raise the minimum wage?

She said she draped him with a white rosary as he left. "He was a good son," she said. "I just hope God gives me the strength to bear seeing his body when they bring him to me."

In other words, the US taxpayers will be paying to fly his body back home for burial. (Which is the standard practice.)

Gilberto Francisco Ramos Juarez was found with the rosary still around his neck and a brother’s Chicago phone number scribbled on the inside of his belt buckle about two weeks ago. He was alone in brush less than a mile from the nearest U.S. home, a South Texas sheriff said Monday. He apparently got lost on his way north and likely died from the elements. An autopsy did not find signs of trauma.

His birth certificate says he was 11 years old. But his father, Francisco Ramos Diaz, said Tuesday that the boy was really 15.

Don’t tell the news readers at CNN. They shed many a tear over the death of that innocent 11 year old.

Ramos Diaz said Gilberto’s birth certificate carried the birth date of his younger brother because it took the family several years to register him. Because the parents couldn’t remember the exact date of Gilberto’s birth, they gave the same date for both young sons, who became listed as twins.

That’s how much they loved him.

While hundreds of immigrants die crossing the border each year, the discovery of Gilberto’s decomposed body in the Rio Grande Valley on June 15 highlights the perils unaccompanied children face as the U.S. government searches for ways to deal with record numbers of children crossing into the country illegally…

Thank goodness Obama killed the virtual fence in March 2009, which was approved and funded by Congress. And which was a program he said he supported during his first campaign. Drones might have spotted this boy and saved his life.

About 445 immigrants died along the U.S.-Mexico border last year, according to the Border Patrol. The Pima County medical examiner in Arizona, which is the perennial leader in immigrant deaths, recorded 168 of the deaths; of the 70 where an age was confirmed, none were younger than 13…

Which is why the news media went so big with this story. They hoped he would break the record.

Investigators were able to reach the boy’s brother in Chicago; his phone number was one of three on the boy’s belt. It’s not uncommon for immigrants to put relatives’ phone numbers on their clothing because scraps of paper can get lost or wet during their journey…

And the brother will be rounded up and deported back to his loving parents. Any minute now.

“His birth certificate says he was 11 years old. But his [alleged] father, Francisco Ramos Diaz, said Tuesday that the boy was really 15.

“Ramos Diaz said Gilberto’s birth certificate carried the birth date of his [alleged] younger brother because it took the family several years to register him. Because the [alleged] parents couldn’t remember the exact date of Gilberto’s birth, they gave the same date for both young sons, who became listed as twins.”

These “migrants” are “undocumented” even in their own countries. Many of them don’t even know their real names, ages, or their proper date and place of birth.

And yet, under the proposed “comprehensive immigration reform” legislation, we are expected –– required, actually –– to accept their identities and claims as bona fide. After which we will grant them amnesty, “a path to citizenship,” assorted freebies, and voting rights over real Americans.

    Amazing. Absolutely amazing.

And if you don’t go along with all that, you’re called a “racist.”

My brain is going to explode.

  2. When did they find a cure for epilepsy? Or does “…getting rid of her illness…” mean anchoring her to America with “unaccompanied children” so she could move here on taxpayer funded “free transportation” and once here, get taxpayer funded “free healthcare”, and taxpayer funded “free prescription drugs”.

The mother of the 15 yr adult Guatemalan boy whose body was found in the desert about a mile from Texas’ southern border said Tuesday she begged him not to make the dangerous journey from their modest cinder block- and sheet-metal home high in the northern Cuchumatanes mountains.

“But Cipriana Juarez Diaz, ailing and bedridden, said her son Gilberto told her he wanted to earn money to help her.”

But, the pills for epilpsey are so cheap in Guatemalla,

” she said. “I just hope God gives me the strength to bear seeing his body when they bring him to me.”

Ouch$$$ Let’s ave her the unbearble experience and have his brother mail his asshes to mamaaa.

“OUCH!” $$$ NO WAY! No Americans get his paid for. His brother can get his ashes and send them to mother.

NO WAY should think country spend tax dollars to send who know whose dead body to some stranger claiming
    to be his mother.

“He apparently got lost on his way north and likely died from the elements.”

Perhaps he left the other illegals, because he did not want a safe-haven, but to high tale it Chicago gangsta land.

(May his birthdate had to be changed to his brothers would make it appear they were of the same father.

and “That’s how much they loved him.’

“And the brother will be rounded up and deported back to his loving parents. Any minute now.”

giggle giggle. We’ll believe it when he see it.
