It will be interesting to see where the investigation into Blago leads since it is difficult to believe that BHO could remain untainted by the corruption that was literally all around him. Almost every elected office here in IL is corrupt in some way…it’s just a matter of degree.

It was very strange for me when I voted for the first time this past year in Cook County. Most of the ballot was blank as there were no Republicans running for many of the offices. Which is why the more I think about how bad our elected officers are, the more I believe we need an amendment to the Constitution (both state and Federal) for term limits. But that will happen when Piaps can fly.

Another constitutional problem….How can a committee hold hearings on a nominee who happens to be one of them? Hillary hasn’t resigned. She is still a Senator. Anyone getting sick of this BS??

The Constitution has become meaningless.

It has fatal flaws that must be corrected. So they correct them on the fly.

Rocketman’s point is very significant. They have no respect of the law whatsoever. It’s just another thing to be manipulated to get what they want….power.

That’s a good question.

I also don’t recall their ever being confirmation hearings before a new administration has been sworn in.

Maybe I’m mistaken. — But certainly it took Bush (and previous Republicans) forever to get their picks confirmed.

And forget about their judicial appointments.
