With the selection of Joe Biden as Vice-president, Obama purchased the most effective life-insurance policy available, and it didn’t cost him a dime. Even the most deranged moron on earth wouldn’t follow through on a death threat with the prospect of #2 and #3 in succession to the presidency.

A very troubling state of affairs, indeed.

any attempts at confiscating firearms would result in an immediate social backlash that would cost Obama his office, and probably Pelosi and Reid and whoever else signed on to it. During the cold war, the Soviets had two main problem concerning a war with the United States. The first was the ability of Nuclear Sub Captains’ ability to operate autonomously and launch regardless of presidential approval, the second was the total lack of confidence from their generals that the US population could be successfully disarmed and subdued.

The socialists most certainly have crunched the numbers, and as pinandpuller states, almost all of the people who would be tasked with disarming the population are the very type of people the socialists are targeting. Liberals dont make good soldiers or law enforcement. Conservatives do, and I dont suspect that they would be running out to enforce an unconstitutional socialist directive that they dont agree with. Methinks their own weapons would be pointed at the people who drafted the order and expected it to be carried out.

The brownshirt turncoats, the civilian “authority of community organizers” would find themselves in the unenviable position of having carry out what is left of the no guns mandate. Ironic as though it may be, the last thing they would see in this world is the flash from the very gun they came to confiscate.

It may sound melodramatic, but I am literally positive that if such a folly was attempted that it would last all of two days….once the word was out, lots of people would take preemptive action against those they know support the socialist cause.

No, they will disarm America in a different way. Just like Stalin did to the Ukraine in the 30’s. If it comes to that. It wont. Over half the population still doesnt agree with the leftist cause of socialism, and I would wager that more than half of those who voted for Obama will have awakened from the heady euphoria of “making history” and will have realized what was laying in bed next to them. The true marxists, leftists and socialists are a vast vocal minority. And they cant shoot worth a shit either.

Attempting to confiscate being the operative phrase! If gun confiscation started in the US then there would be a civil war for sure. How many troops or law enforcement personnel are willing to obey the order to disarm Americans? I suppose that Obama could deploy National Guard units in the Middle East to keep them out of the way.

I have always believed the thug messiah had pernicious motives for running and bad things in mind for our Republic (such as it is following W’s bailout debacle).
