Is anybody else kind of wondering how it has come about that The Moron’s first big test as commander in chief just happens to be a bunch of 3rd world kids in a shooting gallery? Against the most powerful navy ever.

I mean, think about it…..Russia, Iran, Hamas, N. Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Venezuala, et al….itching to cause trouble militarilly….and here we have, miraculously, a 16-year old bathtub pirate as The Moron’s first big adversary.

Somebody has said these ragtag ruffians are financed by rich men who take most of their profits.

Where has Geore Soros’ been the last few weeks.

If the hypocrite coward-in-chief had acted with wisdom, forethought, and and sense of experience or experienced guidance (ha, ha) .. the first time that captain managed to exit his captive craft .. the Navy would’ve had turned the pirate held boat and pirates into smithereens.

Now while I’m not entirely convinced the Navy needed any presidential clearances (unless they had been SPECIFICALLY ordered to NOT use force – and even then there’s some questions), The sole accolades need to go to those involved in/on the scene and them alone.

o-blah-blah was more of an interference than a boon by any measure.

Bernie Goldberg, the author of the “Slobbering” book that Rusty is reading, said on Hannity last night that conservatives should not refuse to give The Moron credit like the libwits refused to give Bush credit.

I don’t see it that way at all.

As many have said on S&L, The Moron had plenty of opportunities to act responsibly to save American lives. Instead, he hid under his desk and WAITED FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO ACT. “Approving” force was a non-act. If he had done anything other than approve the twice-asked explicit request, than he would have placed himself in political peril. It took no courage, wisdom or initiative to say “ok”. Frankly, I wouldn’t be objecting to his early silence if he had kept his mouth shut later, but I strongly object that he let it play out for so long, and that he raced to grab credit when the courageous Navy officer took the proper action at enormous personal risk.

The real story is that The Moron toyed with the lives of American citizens. He was more concerned about how he would look politically than he was about our neigbors’ welfare. Everything he did and did not do was calculated to make sure he would be the hero or, even worse, have somebody to blame if the situation ended poorly. And that is the behaviour of a coward and approaches the behaviour of a psychopath.

I’m sorry if I’m being harsh here but ONE injury or death warrants taking the gloves off and raining death upon them!

That is EXACTLY what I thought about this whole incident from the start. If things had gone horribly wrong, the captain of the Bainbridge, the Seal team and their commander would have been thrown under the bus asap to save Barry’s ass.

I am currently reading “A Slobbering Love Affair” and how it really sums up this diptstick’s persona is very interesting indeed. But the focus is on how the media, hungry for him to “do good” must, at every turn, be so outrageously biased as to lie for him, cover up for him and do nothing short of making him look the part, even if it costs the credibility of the news media. That is how much in bed they are with this pantheon of progress.

Well, I for one, have seen enough “progress”. Bill-Jeff was just a warm-up. This is some serious s**t here. It’s obvious that the Midas Touched fool will one day find he can no longer eat. I submit that although we’re still in a period where the media cannot afford to lose their stake in this ..uh…”presidency”, there will come a time when the finger of blame will rest squarely on the shoulders of Obama. And it will be so obvious that no amount of spin or “versioning” of the truth will change the glaringly plain.

Then, you will see the real Barry. Inasmuch as Bill-Jeff had to appear before the US on primetime TV and admit, perhaps for the first time in HIS life, that he messed up royally (though he almost didn’t), you will see in BHO the vile, spoiled, angry little brat that he is. But that also hinges on something very important….one of his valuable cronies who supports him no matter what, will have to jump ship, or simply not be there to cover for him.

No regime is perfect or bulletproof. Eventually, something big has to happen and even the least lacking in awareness will have to see it. THAT is when people make up their minds, or change them.

Yet, sadly….I also fear that even when presented with the obvious, many blacks and white apologists will attempt damage control and still stand in his corner and make excuses. And that’s what saddens me the most. The fact that there are a huge number of people who would prefer to preserve his reputation than do what is right and correct for the nation.

We used to have character. Eisenhower once made a statement that is a paraphrased quote from Greek philosopher that says, “What is right, isn’t always popular and that which is popular isn’t always right”. But we have lost the ability, as a nation, to make these distinctions thanks, in part, to television, the sound-bite mentality we have now and the ever-angry hippies who want to fix the world.

*sigh*….and for me, just trying to be a decent human being, by definition, puts me at odds with the government in its current iteration.

Yeah, I know you are right. What a sleeze he is. And Zero credit is probably all he deserves.

I’m still glad he’s like that though. I would rather him cower in the background until someone with guts and brains makes the right decision than to try to “do” something that requires guts and brains. Neither of which he has.

I shutter to think of what would have happened if he had tried to micro manage such a delicate situation.

Ever hear of the Peter principle? He’s met his. Except he met his when he became a senator. (always voting “present” and not taking a stand on anything that could possibly come back to haunt him. Except it has…) As president he is so far above his competency its just plain scary.

Keeping his authority to act in the case of a clear and present danger to the hostage’s life and having heard nothing from Washington since yet another request to mount a rescue operation had been denied the day before, the Navy officer — unnamed in all media reports to date — decided the AK-47 one captor had leveled at Phillips’ back was a threat to the hostage’s life and ordered the NSWC team to take their shots.

Three rounds downrange later, all three brigands became enemy KIA and Phillips was safe.

The Moron did his usual hang-around act, voting “present” clearly, knowing that some on-the-scene person would act soon enough, and would be the fall-guy if it didn’t go well.

But it went well, so The Moron jumped up, an annointed himself the hero.
