AP: Obama-Care Will Have No Affect On Elections

From an ever spinning Associated Press:

Local, not US, issues at play in Tuesday voting

By THOMAS BEAUMONT | November 5, 2013

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Big judgments about the direction of the country will have to wait on this Election Day as voters around the country express opinions on a couple of governors’ races, several mayoral races and a host of local issues.

In other words, the AP is suddenly insisting that all of the elections being held today are only about local issues. That nobody is going to hold the failures of Obama-Care against any Democrats. Nobody is going to vote against any Democrat or for any Republican because of Obama or the economy or any national issues.

Though, oddly enough, the AP told us all during the shutdown that it would cause Republicans to lose in local elections, even down to the dog catcher level.

Among the contests around the country Tuesday are governor’s races in Virginia and New Jersey, and such questions as how best to turn the page in San Diego’s scandal-ridden mayor’s office and whether to spend more than $217 million to revive Houston’s shuttered Astrodome.

From ballot initiatives to mayor’s races, these off-year elections will shed virtually no light on how the American public feels about today’s two biggest national debates — spending and health care. Those will have to be addressed in next fall’s midterm elections…

In other words, nobody cares about Tea Party issues. So even if Republicans win (and they won’t), it’s not because of the Tea Party.

In Washington, D.C., the 16-day partial federal government shutdown and troubled roll-out of the federal health care law has focused attention on Washington dysfunction, and Americans’ contempt for it.

But there is no one clear question on the thousands of ballots around the country that will gauge Americans’ mood…

Funny, but the AP said that the ‘Republican shutdown’ was going to spell their doom everywhere. But suddenly now they are changing their tune.

Why is that?

Don’t expect great things from Virginia voters today. Virginia has been Californicated. It has become an occupied country where the foreign vote is decisive.

I was at Fashion Square Mall––Charlottesville’s only indoor mall––last weekend, looked around, and realized that (except for one other old dinosaur) I was the only American in the entire place.

Thousands of foreigners milling about, old hands and new arrivals, busy taking over, shopping, eating, squatting, getting their tattoos, spending their EBT cards, the never-ending jackhammer of their hideous languages, yak-yaking on their Obama-phones, all saying nothing, children swarming, babies screaming, lap dogs yapping.

Northern Virginia is even worse. It’s like Mogadishu or Juarez but with high-rise buildings, technology, and traffic jams. In Northern Virginia even the babies have tattoos.

When you change the trees in the forest, it is no longer the same forest.

I am die hard Southern rebel, but sweet babbling buddha am I glad I chose to leave and get me and mine far far out west. I can see one day it will happen here, too .. but I live near nothing interesting, commercial or industrial and that makes a huge difference,

I hear the same report from relatives in the Atlanta.Chattanooga area.

The same in Charlotte and Raleigh and soon worldwide. Once the New World Order is firmly ensconced, there will be nowhere left to go.

      Great observations Petronius.

I moved to Iowa to work for a large firm a few years back. For many of my fellow employees English is not their first language. While I don’t know (and frankly, I don’t want to know because it will just anger me too much) what the exact percentage is, it would not be an exaggeration for it to be in excess of 30%.

I believe the reason for this is fairly simple. Companies realize if they use H-1B visas to keep their wages low. They also get employees at this lower wage who work manic hours because they will do whatever it takes to stay here.

Now the the democrats want to import even more Tech Workers on the grounds that we does have the talent. Like everything else they say, it’s a lie. It’s simply fits into their plan to reshape the US into a socialist utopia.

I see the election results for VA says that the ‘Punk’ won the governors seat. I think that 2 d*#ks Oboy, Biden and hysterical Hillary thought the margin would be larger, but that they wanted their names attached to his win so they can claim that there is no damage being done at the polls by the rollout debacle, so as to try to convince the few ‘red state democrats’ in the senate to keep their powder dry on the whole delay idea.

They are all in for a rude awakening. I hope….
