Bags Put On CC Cameras In Muslim Areas

From those tireless defenders of the faith at BBC News:

Plastic bags to be put over Birmingham ‘terror cameras’

A surveillance operation in parts of Birmingham with large Muslim populations has been halted after it was revealed the move was linked to counter terrorism.

So there was an additional reason, rather than just run of the mill crime? Why should that cause them to be covered?

Some out of 218 cameras, mainly in the Washwood Heath and Sparkbrook districts, will be covered with bags.

They were part of the Project Champion scheme, paid for from a Home Office counter terrorism fund.

But officials behind the project said it would have deterred various crimes.

Steve Jolly, one of those who first began campaigning about the cameras, said people had been "misled".

He said: "Now the truth is out, there’s a lot of anger.

"Certain communities have been ring-fenced and saturated with cameras, making it impossible for you to get in or out without being tracked.

"What’s happening here is the government is spying on its citizens covertly in some cases, without their knowledge or consent, and it’s a gross invasion of privacy and civil liberties."

There a literally hundreds of thousands of security cameras all over Great Britain. But Muslim areas will be exempt.

Ayoub Khan, from the council, said the public’s views were "important"

Mr Jolly described the latest developments as "a victory" and "a start" but added: "It’s not the conclusion, though…

A total of 218 cameras – some of them hidden – were put up in various locations across the areas…

The SBP – a partnership of the police, the city council and other agencies – said on Thursday: "Although the counter-terrorism unit was responsible for identifying and securing central government funds and has overseen the technical aspects of the installation, the camera sites were chosen on the basis of general crime data – not just counter-terrorism intelligence."

SBP said a number of concerns had been raised and it wanted to give people the right to express their views.

Respect Party councillor Salma Yaqoob said people had lost faith in the authorities.

She said: "In terms of reassurance it’s going to take a lot more than plastic bags."

Remember how the reaction to the Times Square bomber was that he proved we needed more security cameras?

    Let’s see.

This is about the same thing as manufacturing super weapons, and then taking the ammunition away from the combat soldiers.

Mustn’t even detect, no matter risk harming, the enemy,

Particularly when the enemy’s stated goal is to overthrow your culture and cut your head off.

Well, the fools started out about it in the wrong fashion, anyway.

Once the cameras were installed and then the word about them got out, the next move was obvious to me. There is nothing wrong with the bag idea, it’s the way they were used. My solution would be to seek out everyone who bitched about the cameras and put the bag(s) over the HEADS of the complainant(s), down to the lower neck, whereupon the draw-string would be firmly cinched tight.

This would be a temporary measure, as the bags would only remain for about three hours, after which they could be re-deployed or, once the need for them no longer existed, recycled.

      How complicated is that? .

Cameras have been a part of Europe for decades (I remember them well in Germany in the 80’s) – once again – the PC morons amongst us – will get us killed bending over and allowing one group not be to equal to but to be put above and get ‘special’ bennies. Where I ask anyone is the ‘justice’ in that?

And I will bet when the bloodshed begins – the first country called will be the USA – too bad there is a muslim appeaser in office – there won’t be any help coming under the Thug Administration.

Those aren’t bags, they’re camera burqas. Or hijabs, or maybe niqabs, I can’t tell for sure. But whatever they are, the point is that they’re being used to stop the infidel Westernized cameras and the sordid male camera-gaze from defiling their pure polished lenses. Only a racist would object. Only a racist would ignore the obvious depravity of Western photo equipment, the way Western cameras drape themselves rampantly around the necks of any Japanese tourist with a few extra yen. Disgusting.
