Barney Frank On Obama-Care: ‘They Just Lied To People’

From the Huffington Post:

Barney Frank ‘Appalled’ By Obama Administration: ‘They Just Lied To People’

By Zach Carter | August 1, 2014

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama made a major political mistake by lying about the details of his health care plan, according to former House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.).

"The rollout was so bad, and I was appalled — I don’t understand how the president could have sat there and not been checking on that on a weekly basis," Frank told HuffPost during a July interview. "But frankly, he should never have said as much as he did, that if you like your current health care plan, you can keep it. That wasn’t true. And you shouldn’t lie to people. And they just lied to people." …

What a racist. Still, what does he mean by "they"? Mr. Frank was a powerful Democrat member of the House until 2013. He pushed Obama-Care just as hard as anyone else. We don’t recall him saying anything different from the rest of the lying Democrats.

"He should have said, ‘Look, in some cases the health care plans that you’ve got are really inadequate, and in your own interests, we’re going to change them,’" Frank said. "But that’s not what he said." …

"Any smart political adviser would have said, ‘Don’t lie to people, because you’re gonna get caught up in it and it’s gonna have this tsunami that you now have,’" Frank told HuffPost. "My political motto, very simple. I have always told the truth, and nothing but the truth. But I don’t volunteer the whole truth in every situation."

So sayeth the man who claimed his live-in boyfriend ran a male prostitution ring out of his apartment without his knowledge. So sayeth the man who said he didn’t know another boyfriend had an active pot farm growing on his property.

So sayeth the man who said there was no need to worry about the housing market, or Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. That they were in great shape.

From the 2003 archives of the New York Times:

”These two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis,” said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ”The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”

Yep, the always honest Barney Frank.

“He should have said, ‘Look, in some cases the health care plans that you’ve got are really inadequate, and in your own interests, we’re going to change them,'”

yah, tell the people, “we know what’s good for you, you don’t.” that works.
thanks for the little peek into your head blarney.

►If I didn’t know any better, I would think Bill Clinton / Jessie Jackson forced these lending institutions to give loans to high risk minorities because they have been shouting for the last 40 years, “Housing is a right!”

►Minorities got the loans, the black democrats (and others) balked at the attempts to regulate the out-of-control ATM machine spitting out money, that would cut-off those very housing loans.

►Bush / Greenspan / McCain / Ron Paul all warn repeatedly of the impending crisis and needed INCREASED REGULATION.

►Banks, not ones known for being forced to LOSE MONEY on these forced social housing loans, sold DERIVATIVES (gambling on whether those people will pay their loans or not) on those loans to shore up their loses.

►Economy tanks, people lose their jobs, can’t pay their loans in droves, banks lose their shirt in the derivatives market further tanking the economy. (derivatives market has been estimated by some to be closer to a QUADRILLION dollars in gambling floating around)

►Democrat president COVERS UP for the social program by bailing out the banks and blaming them for being UNREGULATED, as long as they collectively shut up and take the blame for it.

►Democrats send in their Schutzstaffel, Occupy Wall-Street, to further cover up the social housing loan lending scandal, further blaming the banks and Capitalism, drawing attention away from the democrat culprits.

SOCIALISM and DEMOCRATS nearly collapse the American economy, Capitalism and REPUBLICANS are to blame. –Imagine that they actually got away with it too. . .
