Beeswax – A Tool (Feather) Using Parrot

Another installment of the weekend feature here at S&L, which aims to raise our spirits in these times of tribulation.

From YouTube:

Cute – and inspirational. (At least we hope it might prove so for some.)

Hm, Mrs. Obama could use some lessons on personal grooming from this bird. He sure doesn’t need a personal make-up artist!

But that aside, so ADOOORABLE! Haha

My parrot’s about that size. I think they are as smart as cats and very mischievous. They learn fast.

At night, I cover his cage with a dark sheet which calms him down if he’s excited about something. It’s a really big cage, and I always say “Get in your sleeping position” a couple of times. Usually, he wants to grab one last seed and then he hustles up to the top of the cage and wedges himself between his hidey hut and the cage so I can scratch his belly before he goes to sleep. It’s funny to see him double-time to get in position for the belly rub.

This little guy has just demonstrated he’s got more on the ball than the players in (and including) the o-blah-blah team. Wow.
