Bill Clinton: Obama Is The Biggest Fairy Tale

Bill Seems Flustered

Jake Tapper

January 08, 2008

Last night at Dartmouth College, President Bill Clinton was asked about his wife’s senior strategist Mark Penn…

Then Bubba decided to do some hootin’ and a hollerin’.

“But since you raised the judgment issue, let’s go over this again. That is the central argument for his campaign. ‘It doesn’t matter that I started running for president less a year after I got to the Senate from the Illinois State Senate. I am a great speaker and a charismatic figure and I’m the only one who had the judgment to oppose this war from the beginning. Always, always, always.’” …

“First it is factually not true that everybody that supported that resolution supported Bush attacking Iraq before the UN inspectors were through. Chuck Hagel was one of the co-authors of that resolution. The only Republican Senator that always opposed the war. Every day from the get-go. He authored the resolution to say that Bush could go to war only if they didn’t co-operate with the inspectors and he was assured personally by Condi Rice as many of the other Senators were. So, first the case is wrong that way.” …

“Second, it is wrong that Senator Obama got to go through 15 debates trumpeting his superior judgment and how he had been against the war in every year, numerating the years, and never got asked one time, not once, ‘Well, how could you say, that when you said in 2004 you didn’t know how you would have voted on the resolution? You said in 2004 there was no difference between you and George Bush on the war and you took that speech you’re now running on off your website in 2004 and there’s no difference in your voting record and Hillary’s ever since?’ Give me a break.

This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen.” …

ABC News graciously provides the stunning video here. It is quite a clip.

The gloves are coming off.

Yeah. The cracks are opening, alright. Maybe it’s just me, but I saw and heard a very angry, bitter man, answering a questioner, who used that pointy finger thing - with BOTH hands - to make his points. How can we be sure that he’s only angry and bitter at Obama? I’m not so sure that that is really where all his anger lies… And, until I read this ["He's Got Sunshine on a Cloudy Day" over at http://drsanity.blogspot.com/ I hadn't given much thought to how Bill is actually trying to undermine Hillary and make sure she never becomes POTUS. Now, after seeing the clip that SG so graciously posted for us, it is all becoming so much clearer. Why the heck else would a man - a former POTUS - get up in front of a bunch of people [anywhere, not just in NH] and start bringing up that the press coverage of him has been scathing, that Ken Starr spent 70 Million Dollars and indicted innocent people to find out that Bill wouldn’t pay a nickel to see the cow jump over the moon? I just think that this man doesn’t realize the negative impact on the things he says to people, while trying to make the negativity about someone else, actually reflects on him. Never mind. I’m being far too logical. Logic is a totally moot point in any of the democratic camps. Thankfully, though, people are starting to get it. Or, perhaps unthankfully. Because truly if Hillary becomes the nominee, she is soooo totally beatable. With Obama? I’m not so sure. [Unless people start pointing out what needs to be pointed out about the man - and Bill seems reluctant to do this... Maybe down the road.]

If the Clinton’s only knew how much of this country HATES them. They could have saved a lot of money and time on this stupid Presidential Race of hers. Oh, well find out the HARD way. LOL

I truly think that the Clintons misinterpreted the ’support’ (led by killer Kennedy) during his impeachment as people loving them and standing by them - rather than rats, liars, and cheats hoping beyond hope to protect ‘their skeletons’ from ever forcing them out of office. Big Difference.

I go back and forth on Clinton undermining the Hildabeast - both of them crave adoration, power and just the opportunity to soil the WH again - so I know that they both want this Election more than anything else. So perhaps since they both approach Life from the ‘I’ perspective - they can’t do a damn thing about making every person and situation about - I.

It is so much nicer this time to have the lies, distortions and garbage shown in living color and surround sound - you know damn well the msm won’t be mentioning this until they can figure out the distortion angle.

I was talking about this earlier with a friend in Kuwait. I think Hillary once again misjudged the mood of her party. She forgot it isn’t a constant. Maybe four years ago she might have been able to sweep into the nomination on a wave of Clinton nostalgia, but it’s not working now. And Bill’s attitude lately just shows even more how its always been all about the power for them.

Kilmeny…..actually about the power for HIM. He really thinks if she gets elected he will be the shadow president.

Hey wanna hear a REAL Fairy tale? There was once an evil hated ol’ witch who wanted to rule the land. It’s time for a woman wouldn’t that be grand? She forced the people to love her, there would be no one above her and she finally knew it’s time for a stand! But the dumb bi#ch lost anyway……….. THE END.

He has a point: Obama gets a pass when he brags about his opposition to the war. The fact is it was not an easy decision, but necessary and painful. Pres. Bush showed real courage to stay the course especailly in the face of the mounting domestic opposition we saw in 2005-2006. Now that things are improving, it’s a back-burner issue. Still, the Dems all get a pass when it comes to answering tough questions. I hope they bleed each other to death. It’s good to see Dems eating their own. This is the way it should be. Maybe now we can get to a debate over liberal vs conservative issues.

I have a question that wardmama 44 brings up in the statement “both of them crave adoration, power and just the opportunity to soil the WH again”. If Obama continues to ride the popularity wave he is on and wins the democrat nomination for president will the Clinton machine run Hillary as an Independent?I personally think they will because the Clinton machine laid its foundation an greed and power and they will not accept second seat to anyone.

  9. retire05

learner, the answer is “no”. The only candidate that will jump to the independent catagory will be Ron Paul. But the unanswered question is if Hillary backs out, will she still unleash the dogs on Obama and not backing any candidate, provide some support for Edwards, albeit quietly, at the DNC convention?

Hillary is not going to lose to Obama gracefully. But the behind-the-scenes actions, if she backs out, will never be truthfully told. She and Bubba are both constructed from Teflon.

I don’t think she will ever back Obama. It is prima donna against prima donna.

    Hey!

I think I saw a hip swivel in there @ about 2:00 minutes in. This nut thinks he’s Elvis for cryin’ out loud.

Funny, I don’t remember Bush 41 degrading himself in such a way when his son was running.

Calm down Bubba. You’re embarrassing yourself. Especially when you’re diatribes leave you open to so many counter punches. Pulleasse! Your financial records. The special prosecutor says in their report that numerous illegalities are evident in your “financial history” - that numerous of your business partners as well as your Lt. Governor, Jim Guy & your wife’s law partner WENT - TO - JAIL, MY FRIEND.

I don’t know, maybe you have some deep issue within yourself that you need to convince yourself that you are innocent. But leave us out of it.

‘This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen.”

Is that all he ever thinks about? Oh, he didn’t say tail? Oops, my bad! LOL

  12. AmericanIPA

Of course Obama’s whole run for the presidency is a fairy tale. We didn’t need the previous winner for biggest fairy tale to tell us that.

But Bubba, as usual, you’re wrong about Iraq. Saddam never cooperated with inspectors, and had them running wild goose chases and looking into only the facilities he allowed them to enter. Bush drug that UN spectacle out plety long enough for the Iraqi dictator to allow unfettered inspections and they still stood tight. Then Bush gave Saddam and his sons the option of leaving the country so they wouldn’t have it destroyed and end up dead. They stayed, Iraq was bombed, and they’re all dead.

But Bill Clinton is not only one of the most brazen rewriters of history when it makes him look good, he’s also one of the quickest. That works with those who pay little or no attention to actaul events…like supporters of Hillary and Obama.

Clinton is now double talking his way around his “fairy tale” remark on Sharpton’s radio show.
