Richardson has all his well known issues but if you start digging into the history of the company alleged to be involved here they have a ‘colorful’ history and fingers in a whole lot of interesting pies.

SEC issues , tied up with AIG, opened a branch in Chicago in 2003 (Fitz call your office), Rendell in Pa, NJ and not to mention Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and subprime stuff.

And pass it off like it’s just not important, after all finding ways to spend other peoples money is the “raison-de-etre”. He unsuspiciously says he didn’t want to delay for one day (while he was going to be questioned about his dealings) the important work of B.O. aka “the anointed one”. Just another thought. What if an obviously tainted nominee was purposfully put forward and then subsequently ‘outed’ and thrown under the bus, providing a necessary distraction so that another, more despicable nominee slips into office under the radar while everyone is preoccupied with the first?

Nothing would surprise me. We’re dealing with democrats, after all.

What about the questionaire that every potential Obama-ite was supposed to fill out? Did the transition team not vet the individuals thoroughly? Or were their statements taken at face value as being truthful?

I mean, surely an applicant wouldn’t falsify such serious inquiry, would he (she)?

I can hear the Obama camp now. “I can’t believe we’ve been deceived like this”.

Oh, well. Just another unfortunate distraction, I guess. (sigh)

Couldn’t have happened to a bigger schmuck as Richardson’s career was built on pay-to-pay politics. I never could stand him, especially when he started taking money from Soros (to finance drug legalization).

I remember watching Tim Russert make him look like a complete idiot by questioning his policy flip-flops. IMO opinion they were all based on self-serving political expediency. But even though the media will treat cases like this as exceptions, pay-to-play is todays norm in Washington.

Obama is beginning to sound like Caude Raines in Casablanca, who stages a raid at Rick’s Cafe’ Americain: “I’m shocked…shocked that gambling is going on here!”, and later, “Round up the usual suspects.” Our system is so riddled with corruption of every kind, and so dependent on it, that pols don’t even know when they’re lying anymore. It’s become an act, they think, and if their act is good enough they’ll skate no matter what the crime is.

There’s no punishment for high-placed wrongdoing anymore. The Clintons showed us all how to do it.

Chris Dodd (accepted sub-prime mortgage while enabling the criminal Fannie Mae organization and accepting thousands in campaign contributions),
Slow Joe Biden (self-proclaimed “poorest man in the senate, but a skilled RE negotiator, since he was able to buy 14 lake front acres and a 6,000 square foot house on the east coast for less than 400K. And don’t forget which state the credit card industry is located),
John Edwards (fathered an out-of-wedlock child while exploiting his cancer-stricken wife, and cynically touting his family values. Let’s not talk about his dispicably corrupt ambulance chasing career.),
Obamy (the greatest economic criminal of all time), and now
Pancho Richardson can’t even last a month as a cabinet nominee.

Kucinavich is looking stronger and stronger. More level-headed too.
