Wednesday, July 16, 2008; A06GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba, July 15 — Salim Ahmed Hamdan, an alleged al-Qaeda driver who faces a historic military trial next week, testified Tuesday that a female interrogator elicited information from him using sexually suggestive behavior that he called “improper.”
Hamdan, a former driver for Osama bin Laden who is accused in a terrorism conspiracy, told a military court that during questioning in 2002, a female interrogator “came close to me, she came very close, with her whole body towards me. I couldn’t do anything. I was afraid of the soldiers.”
“Did she touch your thigh?” asked Hamdan’s attorney Charles Swift.
“Yes. . . . I said to her, ‘What do you want?’ ” Hamdan said at a pretrial hearing. “She said, ‘I want you to answer all of my questions.’ ”
“Did you answer all of her questions after that?” Swift asked. Hamdan said he did.
Hamdan’s attorneys are seeking to persuade a judge to throw out incriminating statements he allegedly made to interrogators at the U.S. military prison here, arguing that they were obtained through coercive tactics…
Hamdan has previously alleged in court filings that he was subjected to sexual humiliation, but had not testified publicly about it until Tuesday. His depiction of the interrogations provided another glimpse of the treatment of some of the approximately 265 detainees here, who include al-Qaeda leaders accused of planning the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Hamdan seemed a bit dazed when he arrived in court amid heavy security. Wearing a beige sport coat, white pants, sandals and a white headdress, he walked slowly to the stand, escorted by military guards, and refused to raise his hand when he was sworn in…
These terrorists are such delicate flowers. It really is to laugh.
Of course the real joke is the way our media takes these claims seriously.
But we know why that is.

We should use waterboarding to evaluate just how extensive his sexual abuse was. This poor soul has obviously been terribly abused, but I know we can get to the bottom of this. When the bubbles stop, bring him up.

I can’t decide whether to laugh or scream - most men dream of this happening at least 50% of their lives - and he’s whinning like she beat him almost to death. What a crock . Yada, yada, I know about their supposed ‘religious’ taboos - but exactly what do they do (particularly when desiring information/cooperation) to women they capture? I’m sure that they immediately set them free. Yeah right.

I can see it now, the next army handbook on interrogation is going to sound like a corporate human resources pamphlet on “appropriate touch in the work place.” Then these terrorist will be whining (in court no less) about how a woman touched the back of his elbow to make him wet his pants. It is some kind of perversion to be joyous about cutting a man’s head off with a dull knife yet squeamish by the touch of a woman. They must need a double dose of empathy.

Uh, if there are no prisoners to complain, that may solve the entire issue! Let this be a lesson to anyone who shows mercy to a jihadist. It doesnt work. It never will….show mercy, and they will kill you. Memo….Dont take prisoners. Ever.

Wait. See. Now I’m confused. It says he was subjected to sexual humiliation. Does this indicate that he a) was unable to become aroused, b) is lacking in the manhood department, c) was led to believe his interrogator was a woman only to find out it was a man? or… what? What is actually “humiliating” about that, or are we just not getting the whole picture yet?
I do have to agree with Wardmama4, that situation was actually played out in my youth. Of course, I was the one prisoner who got left behind (tied to a tree for a couple hours until they remembered I was there… that was humiliating, but not sexual).

arguing that they were obtained through coercive tactics…what amazes me is that he retained the ability to speak and form sentences. Had it been my interrogation, he would have met allah the minute his usefulness was over…..
I mean what I said. These are not people who will do well to be taken alive from the battlefield. They prove it over and over and over again.
I submit though, to the wags who want them freed for “coercive tactics”…I would consider it only if they guaranteed the prisoner would be housed, fed and cared for by their own family, and be held responsible for the prisoner’s actions the minute of his release for the rest of his life.
Then it isnt just words…and ideology. They would have a rabid fanatical killer living with them and they would live in constant fear of being murdered. I dont think there will be too many takers on that….those do gooder shitbirds are all talk…..as long as someone else has to clean up after them.

This would be insanely funny if someone had the nerve to put it into a skit. I mean, a prisoner claiming he was abused by a female to make him talk brings to mind a dominatrix in black leather with a whip. But she just came close to him and touched his thigh? What the…….just how hung up are these people? I mean, heck, might as well replace all of our interrogators with twenty something school teachers. Just imagine the secrets they’ll spill because they got within five feet of a living, breathing woman—we could have the war on terror ended by next week!

Well, I’m sorry fellers, but I’ve been weighing the pros and cons of this whole thing…
Gitmo: Inmates gaining weight. Comprehensive menu.
Me: Lousy cook. Culinary pinnacle was reached when I made SPAM tacos.
Gitmo: Immediate access to health care.
Me: Haven’t had access to a doctor for 11 years now.
Gitmo: 3 hots and a cot for doing nothing.
Me: 10 hour shifts - swing a sledgehammer for a good chunk of that.
Gitmo: Sleep deprivation.
