Blago: No Talks With Obama Before Nov 6

At least according to him.

Chicago Public Radio, WBEZ has a clip from an impromptu press conference on November 5, 2008:

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich leaves his home in Chicago, Illinois.

Governor Rod Blagojevich Discusses Obama’s Replacement

Produced by Mike Rhee on Wednesday, November 05, 2008

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich talks to the press about finding a replacement in the U.S. Senate for President-elect Barack Obama.

About three minutes into the audio clip Mr. Blagojevich indicates that he has not yet spoken to Mr. Obama about this appointment.

At four minutes in, Mr. Blagojevich says point blank that he has not yet spoken with the President elect about selecting his replacement in the Senate.

(Thanks to CGardner for the heads up.)

    Audio link is busted.

But, so what that Blago denies something? He’s a known liar, just like Obamy. He could also have been talking with Obamy in his next meeting that day. His minions could have been talking with Obamy’s thugs during the audio interview. He and Obamy could be Instant Messaging pals. His wife could have been talking with Thunder Butt.

Obamy goes way back with this guy. They were pals, partners in crime.

They were communicating at every step. Otherwise, how did he know that Obamy was rejecting his schemes?

The link should take you to the WBEZ page, where you can play the clip.

We are just posting the material in the search for truth.

Link works now. It was a not found for me before.

Funny, Blago is MUCH better spoken than Obamy. Very polished. Many fewer duh’s. Seems to be much more open that the Messiah….doesn’t seem to be parsing every word like the idiot does.

But there are also several things stated in the press conference that are not true. He states he hadn’t given a thought to the pick prior to Nov 5, for example. He acts shocked that Rahm the Impaler had taken the job as consiglieri. Unlikely. He pointedly omits Obamy’s pick when he discusses candidates. Like he wouldn’t have known about her.

But nothing close to a smoking gun in the first 10 mins or so, at least from what I could hear.

Blogo’s polished speaking style makes me more suspicious that he and Obamy were positioned as rivals for the throne for the last couple of decades. You don’t get that good at something without a lot of practice. Remember, there is evidence that Blago was aiming for the throne as well. And why should he be so furious with Obamy immediately after the “historic” win….shouldn’t all of the idiot’s partners in crime be joyful, particularly Blago who had the opportunity to make himself a prince-maker by naming Obamy’s successor? (Probably a wild idea….but these guys are so devious, anything is possible.)

How is it that when we persue the truth, they always play the shell game with it or they lie….to cover the “LIE”? When we search, they call it invasion of privacy. When they search, its called “FACT FINDING”!! UHHHH….that would uh be the truth if uh somewhere uh there was a uhhh….lie! (Good ol’ Obamy speak)

The always rational VDH’s cut on the Blago situation:

“I was puzzled by Obama’s almost immediate denials that he had been in any way in contact with the Governor’s office. Why? Because for the last month it was simply understood, both by his own admission and by David Axelrod’s interviews, that his own preference for his Senate replacement was probably made known to the Governor. And fittingly so. Of course, there would be nothing wrong about Obama simply saying, “I am surprised as the next person, since I have discussed my replacement as would be natural with a governor of my own party responsible for the appointment, and I never detected anything out of the ordinary on his part.” Why instead the unbelievable denial of any communications that in turn earns the more unbelievable “misspoke” on the part of Axelrod? All that brings us back to the now familiar territory of “only a neighborhood acquaintance” and “not the (fill in the blanks) I once knew” and “I was only (fill in the appropriate adolescent age) when I was supposed to have (fill in the blanks)……….he should frankly admit he talked with members of the Governor’s staff the last few years, and then say that one in politics regrettably gets exposed to such people—and quit the implausible denials and get on with the transition.”.

Obamy is so used to lying that it’s his first instinct, even when there is a simple way out of a situation. He can’t help himself.
