Boko Haram Has Kidnapped Wife Of Cameroon’s Vice PM

From the Atlantic:

Boko Haram Abducts the Wife of Cameroon’s Vice Prime Minister

By Adam Chandler | July 27, 2014

In what’s being described as "a savage attack," the wife of Cameroon Vice Prime Minister Ahmadou Ali was kidnapped along with the mayor of Kolofata in a series of attacks on Sunday by Boko Haram.

So where is the #hashtag campaign? ‘BringBackOurVicePrimeMinister’sWife’? This problem is not going to solve itself. The Obama administration needs to become pro-active.

"I can confirm that the home of Vice Prime Minister Amadou Ali in Kolofata came under a savage attack from Boko Haram militants," Issa Tchiroma told Reuters by telephone.

Those would be Muslim militants.

The attack also killed three people. Elsewhere in the country, the group attacked a church, killing five people in wounding eight.

That would be a Christian church.

As we noted earlier this month, Boko Haram has been stepping up its attacks in recent months, killing over 2000 people alone in violence this year.

That would be 2,000 Christians.

It remains best known internationally, not for its five-year insurgency, but for its kidnapping of over 200 Nigerian schoolgirls.

Recent episodes have involved cross-border raids into Cameroon, where it clashed with soldiers yesterday, killing four.

How long will it be before the Cameroon government is blamed for not being nice enough to their resident Muslims?
