Bombers Were Only Planning ‘To Party’ In NYC

From the New York Post:

Boston bombers planned ‘to party’ in Big Apple after blast: Ray Kelly

By KIRSTAN CONLEY and DAN MANGAN | April 24, 2013

The two jihadist brothers who bombed the Boston Marathon were headed to New York afterward "to party," Police Commissioner Ray Kelly revealed today.

The surviving brother, 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, has told investigators from his Boston hospital bed that he and his brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, wanted to get some R&R after the bombings, which killed three and injured 170 others at the Marathon finish line April 19.

"The information that we received said something about partying or having a party," Kelly said, citing what Dzhokhar told investigators. "The bit of information we have they may have been words to the effect of coming to party in New York."

Why is this so vague? They got it directly from Jokar? (Before he was Mirandized and clammed up.)

Last Friday, the Tsarnaev brothers murdered an MIT cop in Cambridge, Mass., then hijacked a Mercedes-Benz SUV driven by a Chinese man whose ATM card they used to get some money.

The Boston Globe yesterday reported the man told cops that while the brothers trained guns on him, Tamerlan warned, "We just killed a cop. We blew up the marathon. And now, we’re going to New York! Don’t f–k with us."

The man also said the brothers told him they were stealing money from his bank account to fund that trip.

Today, Kelly said that the NYPD only has been told that the Chinese man heard a word that sounded like "Manhattan" while the Tsarnaev brothers were talking in a foreign language.

Kelly also said there is no indication that the Tsarnaevs planned to commit a terrorist act in New York.

"There was some information that they may have been intent on coming to new York, but not to continue what they were doing," Kelly said.

No, their pressure cookers and pipe bombs and guns were intended to be house warming gifts and party favors. And, apparently, Police Commissioner Kelly believes all of this.

Maybe we’re cynical. But we can’t help but wonder if Bloomberg didn’t tell Kelly to do everything possible to play down this awkward development. After all, tourism is a big source of tax revenue.

But he also said that investigators are trying to determine who the brothers might have known in New York City, and what they planned on doing here once they arrived.

Kelly noted that Dzhokhar had visited the Big Apple last November. He said cops are trying to determine if there were other times that he came to New York.

Investigators have found a photo that shows a smiling Dzhokhar and some pals standing in Times Square. It is not clear when that photo was taken, but Kelly said it appears to have been taken during last November’s visit.

This family sure gets around for people on welfare.

Like any good jihadist, they might also sing a variation on Prince’s lyrics:

“So tonight Im gonna party like it’s 10-99″

The New York Post: Fugitive Boston ‘bomber’ tweeted Jay-Z lyric on Marathon day

    April 19, 2013

Internet sleuths have dug up Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s Twitter account, which provides a glimpse into the young man’s mind.

Tsarnaev appears to be a Jay-Z fan, tweeting a line from Hov’s 2001 single “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love)” on the day he and his brother allegedly planted two bombs that killed three people and injured 176.

“Ain’t no love in the heart of the city, stay safe people,” he tweeted.

The 19-year-old Cambridge resident also appears to be a fan of Dr. Dre and Eminem. He tweeted Eminem’s verse from the 2000 track “Forgot About Dre” the day after the marathon.

He quoted, “Nowadays everybody wanna talk like they got somethin to say but nothin comes out when they move their lips; just a bunch of gibberish”

As Gawker noted, he also quoted other artists on his Twitter, including Kanye West (“Mercy”), Michael Jackson (“Smooth Criminal”), Peter Frampton (“Baby, I Love Your Way”) and Paul McCartney (“Maybe I’m Amazed”).

Tsarnaev’s last tweet on his feed was on Wednesday, two days after the bombing. “I’m a stress free kind of guy,” he wrote.

They’ve read him his rights, they need to give him his cell phone and computer.
These kids are so addicted to their computers and cell phones 24/7 it’s the only way they know to communicate. He’s probably having button pushing withdraws.
I’ll bet he’d tell his public defender to go to hell, if he tried to take his phone away.

“…investigators are trying to determine who the brothers might have known…”, dollars to donuts they knew which mosque supported rampant terrorism and didn’t really have to actually know any more than that as the koran promotes the mutual support of brothers in jihad whether they are actually known to someone or not.
