BP Chief: Illegal Aliens Are ‘Not Dangerous Individuals’

From The Hill:

Immigrants in surge ‘not dangerous individuals,’ Border Patrol chief says

By Kyle Balluck | July 6, 2014

Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Gil Kerlikowske said in an interview broadcast Sunday that the Central American migrants surging across the border from Mexico are "not dangerous individuals."

“These are family members, these are not gang members, these are not dangerous individuals,” Kerlikowske said in the interview, broadcast on ABC’s “This Week.” …

Isn’t it funny that the only Border Patrol person who is allowed to speak publicly to the mainstream media is toeing the administration’s line? — But how does Mr. Kerlikowske know these people are not dangerous? How can anyone do background checks on 300,000 people — who don’t have any papers?

Besides, while they might not be hardened criminals, they are a danger in other ways. Including medically and economically. After all, if an invasion of illegal aliens is not dangerous, why do we even have a Border Patrol?

Kerlikowske said he was “confident that we have the resources” to handle the increase, noting DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson has just deployed an additional 150 agents to the Rio Grande Valley in addition to the 115 agents that were already moving in…

What a laugh. 300,000 illegal aliens have surged across the border just since April, and we are supposed to believe that 150 more Border Patrol agents will solve the problem.

Texas Governor Rick Perry (R), appearing on the same program, rejected Kerlikowske’s comment that officials were confident they have enough resources. “He is absolutely and totally wrong,” Perry said.

Perry said the Obama administration is either “inept” or doesn’t care about the influx of unaccompanied minors at the border with Mexico.

There is a third and even more likely option: Obama is tickled pink. Because everything is going a planned.

But why isn’t Gov. Perry putting a stop to this? What prevents the governors from the border states from calling up the National Guard to secure their borders? Eric Holder? Whatever happened to ‘Don’t mess with Texas’? And ‘Remember the Alamo’?

Meanwhile, from Breitbart:

ICE Removes ‘Alien’ from Term for Illegal Immigrant Children

By Caroline May | July 3, 2014

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel have been directed to no longer refer to illegal immigrant children crossing the border alone as “UACs” (unaccompanied alien children). Instead these individuals are to be referred to as “unaccompanied children” in official correspondence, according to an internal ICE email obtained by the Center for Immigration Studies and shared with Breitbart News.

“This was briefed earlier today during he (sic) command and staff meeting,” an email sent to ICE personnel reads. “It has been requested that in correspondence regarding unaccompanied children, They (sic) not be referred to as UACs. The term UAC should not be used in official correspondence.” …

That is one way to fix the problem. Just change the terms. Nobody will notice.

Kerlikowske: “These are family members, these are not gang members”

That’s what they all say, and it changes day to day.

Kerlikowski thinks their MS-13 tatooes are a result of DNA testing
    “unaccompanied children”

Minus a word, They are here to stay.

Kerlikowske faced criticism over the department’s slow response to the 2001 Seattle Mardi Gras Riots that left one man dead and 70 people with injuries.

During the incident, he ordered the police at the scene not to intervene, instead maintaining a perimeter around the violence.

The City of Seattle acknowledged police strategy presented a public safety threat, and settled with the murder victim’s family for just under $2,000,000.

The next month, The Seattle Police Officers’ Guild voted no confidence in the chief, citing both the Mardi Gras riot
and his public reprimand of an officer for being rude to a group of alleged jaywalkers.

On August 1, 2013, President Obama nominated him to serve as Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
On March 6, 2014, the U.S. Senate confirmed as the first permanent commissioner for the agency that oversees both customs and immigration officers at the country’s ports of entry and the Border Patrol since before Obama took office in 2009

The grooming for a National distaster continues.

“we are supposed to believe that 150 more Border Patrol agents will solve the problem.”

that depends on what you see as the problem to be solved – they still need more diaper changers, underwear inventories, sandwich makers, and bus drivers. 165 additional agents is a good start.

    as I posted July 7th-

I mean seriously, how dangerous can they be? they were only able to make (supposedly unaccompanied) a journey from the yucatan peninsula through poverty stricken, drug lord and warlord infested jungles in el salvador, guatamala, and honduras. not to mention the mexican desert. just some impoverished, malnourished, 13 yr old child. no money, no food, no means of transport, no assistance. unaccompanied.

harmless urchins and cherubs. “sparkling humanity” right.
