BP Union: Illegals Threaten Agents And Country’s Health

From the ABC San Diego affiliate, KGTV:

Border Patrol union official says influx of migrants threatens agents’ health, national security

July 2, 2014

SAN DIEGO – A Border Patrol agents union representative told 10News the influx of undocumented immigrants now in Border Patrol custody is threatening the health of agents as well as national security. "We have compassion for them …," said union representative Ron Zermeno…

Zermeno said Border Patrol agents were being pulled off the line to help with processing the immigrants. Zermeno told 10News this could pose a safety issue due to less [sic] agents on the street.

Meanwhile, 40 [illegal aliens] were being quarantined at the Border Patrol Chula Vista Station with active scabies and head lice. The facility will provide them with showers, laundry service and bedding. Another 10 people, mostly children, were taken to local hospitals with unknown illnesses.

"Unknown illnesses." We suspect they are all too well known.

"That’s my biggest fear: their health and also safety in the field," said Zermeno… Zermeno said he just wants to protect his agents and the border, as well as expose the truth because exposure seems to be a growing concern.

"I think the public needs to be aware. The average citizens [are not] aware because they could be exposed tomorrow." …

They certainly will never be made aware of the situation by our media guardians.

Speaking of which, look at how the Associated Press tries to downplay this report:

Tuberculosis outbreak at Sacramento high school

July 2, 2014

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A California high school is at the center of a tuberculosis outbreak linked to an infectious student who tested positive for active TB in February, county health officials said Wednesday.

Four more students at Grant Union High School in Sacramento have contracted active TB. Three related tuberculosis cases are considered an outbreak, Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services spokeswoman Laura McCasland said. Four relatives and friends of the student who initially tested positive have also contracted active TB — bringing the total to nine known cases…

[Olivia Kasirye, the county’s public health officer] said such an outbreak was not uncommon. The county sees about 90 active TB cases a year, though most of those are adults…

But something tells me it used to be extremely uncommon to have even one case before the area became deluged with illegal aliens. — Personally speaking, I never heard of one case of TB while growing up.

In fact, we thought TB had been pretty much been eradicated until just a few years ago. And now we are seeing TB that is completely resistant to antibiotics.

In all, a little more than 450 students and staff have been tested. They were considered at high risk because they used the same classrooms or adjacent classrooms as the student who was infectious, health officials said.

Of those, 116 have tested positive for TB, though the vast majority have been confirmed to be latent TB, which is dormant and doesn’t produce symptoms…

Look at those numbers the AP just glosses over. One quarter of the students in this high school have tested positive for TB. But we’re supposed to believe that this is perfectly normal. But it’s just another ‘new normal.’

Actually…it’s probably even worse than that. Those who tested positive probably had TB already….which I’m taking as a strong indicator that all of them are from South of the Border. Thus, we’re potentially looking at a the tail end of the time bomb, vs its ignition.
