It’s always been like that for those of us who’ve tried to help change this f***ing messed up world. Did Burris blackmail Blago, he’d tell if Blago didn’t appoint him? Sure hope ollah Obama meant it when he said he knew nothing about all this. You are right on target that Blago was not alone in this! But he’s the only big fish that will take a fall for it. And why is that? Because Patrick Fitzgerald went public with it early! The same guy that had to drag the country through months of investigations on the “Plame Leak” even though he knew who the leaker was – and it wasn’t Scooter Libby – can’t wait a week or two to catch Blago in the act of accepting a payoff. And what does Fitzgerald get for blowing the case – Obama deciding that he gets to keep his job in the new administration – coincidence? Hardly…
