DITTO , BigOil! Coming up out of the ground of the metro with hundreds of excited Americans into the tens of thousands of like minded Americans on the sunny streets of DC to march up PA ave with 100's of thousands more was UNFORGETTABLE! If congress passes health care or cap and trade---let's do it again, spontaneously and IMMEDIATELY!!

I'm not sure how anyone could possibly estimate the size of a crowd that massive. For me, stepping out of a Metro train station into a sea of conservative protestors is a memory that will stay with me forever.

It certainly is no surprise to us here that the msm biases the size fo the protest with their 'tens of thousands' description. In the end... their efforts to downplay are of little importance because a powerful message has been sent to Barry and congress. In particular, so called moderate Democrats have been put on notice. We'll see how badly they want to keep their job.

What I witnessed was hundreds of thousands of Americans making sacrifices in both time and money - during tough economic times - to stand up for their country. I have a feeling this will not be our last visit to DC.

At least now Obama can consider himself the uniter he claims to be. He has united conservatives like no other president in American history.

DGA,

THANKS for your efforts!!! I wanted to go and had a ride, even but had to work Saturday.

To be a fly on the wall inside Marine One....and watch the great pretender's reaction. My guess is it was one of anger and contempt. He cannot be swayed by real public opinion. He is right, everyone else is wrong. If you agree with him, he will let you live. If you don't there is clearly something wrong with you. All of this in his transparent behavior indicators of the past 9 months +

But as I said, this will only harden whatever resolve he has and I dare say, in his mind, has confirmed by way of how he sees things that the 9-12'ers are his enemies and they are ganging up so rather than be a true elected official and say things like "I now understand" or "I have heard your voice and I am ready to work things out".

No, be prepared to hear either deafening silence from the WH and staff, or a volley of insults, veiled threats (or maybe not so veiled) and accusations of mounting an illegal act by some yet unknown fabricated group.

Either way, in the background, regardless of what he says, he will now have a tantrum and double his efforts to silence conservative talk radio, shut down any websites or make it very difficult for them under the guise of "potential terrorist threat" or some such.

He's not going to lay down or acquiesce in any way. This march has probably pissed him off no end. And with that smug, stinky little shit attitude he has, he is going to figure out a way to slash everybody's tires in a display of tempered rage.

The next week will be very telling. He DOESN'T CARE about what the conservatives have to say and only HALF of what the liberals have to say. Instead of seeing this as the American people demanding fairness, he sees a bunch of whackos who are not his "intellectual equal" and wants more than anything to "show them" (us) and is at this very moment holding an all-nighter, or at least until he's told to put on his jammies by Mitchelle, to come up with some sort of organized and well-funded rally. But just running the numbers and paying people to show up is probably even more expensive than the brown clown is willing to shell out...unless, of course they either print some money for it, or just tap into the billions of bailout money. Highly illegal....of course...but....he doesn't care.

Finally, if all this happens as I say, or close to it, you're going to see the liberals come more unraveled. Panic will set in and they'll start making some very glaring and very obvious mistakes that even their beloved drooling fans will (should?) recognize.

They know the real number...and the real number is much larger than the number of those who came to see him get anointed in January...and much cleaner too.

You and a million or so other folks are to be commended...praised and thanked. I thank you. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you and all who attended.

I just got back from there after driving all day (Live in Indiana) and I'm her eto tell you, the sleeping giant has indeed awaken! We, four of us in our own car, drove there on Friday, and stayed the night some distance from the mall, and there were a lot of people at that hotel for the event. Took the train that morning and when we go to the staging area I was totally blown away by the sheer mass of people, and the flood coming from the train just never stopped all day! We had so many there that the police let us start marching 1.5 hours early because there was no more room for the oncoming masses to stand. By a stroke of luck we ended up maybe 75 feet from the stage on the right side of the capitol lawn, a great place to be. I have witnessed dozens of Indy 500 crowds, often used to be 350k or so, this blew those numbers away by a long way. All day I would look back at the flood of people streaming in still, they just kept coming. I guess I had hoped for 100,000 but that was so far off I couldn't believe it. One Republican senator, forgotten his name, spoke, and said he had battled the democrats for many years, but he thought that we looked like the cavalry coming to the rescue to him.

After 3:30 we made our way back to get something to eat and sit down, and then went to see the White house. There was a police presence in front of the front lawn keeping us back 200 clicks or more, so we stood there, signs in hand and waited, and couldn't believe it as the three Sikorsky helicopters came blastingin, and the third one landed on the front lawn. I waved my sign and yelled at the communist wannabe as he got off the heli and ran for cover. That made my day even better, then got to debate a leftist not far from the WW2 monument to top it off.

It was certainly an experience I'll never forget, and it was such a lifting experience, to know you're not alone in all this, to know you're not some right wing radical minority, and that the sleeping giant is awake, and very angry!

David Axlerod stated that the protest in Washington yesterday "didnt represent the mainstream of America". THAT is solid proof that this administration is under the influence of itself.

yo! Dave! You will soon discover that YOU dont represent more than 20% of America when it comes right down to it! These people will be the ones putting you out of a job, and your bosses out of business!! You completely dumbed down dirtbag moron!!!!

via the inestimable Michelle Malkin, and USAtoday, here is a Park Service guide to the crowd size for the 2009 Inaugural:

It's a big number. A very big number. Almost certainly over a million.

This was so awesome to see unfold yesterday. I see that the MSM is totally playing the whole event down. ( dang that ole double standard). :-)

CSPAN has the video (3 hrs.) of the 9/12 March on Washington DC posted at their site: http://ow.ly/p8Jl

MKH and Uncle Jimbo have a great video up at Ace's: http://tinyurl.com/r42oeg

Conservative Woodstock Rocks the Capital (great photos) - http://tinyurl.com/n87dlf

The DC March even made the news as far away as China: http://tinyurl.com/r9888r

God Bless America!

Can you hear us now Washington? :-)

Remember when Cindy Sheehan's protestor count was always stated by the media to be in the thousands when in reality it was in the tens....and the only pictures of her "rallies" that showed the real count appeared on this site.

Now, when there is abolute photographic proof of close to a million people, and probably a lot more are put up by Fox and the few websites that care about the truth....we get "thousands" or "scores" of people touted by the msm. They are exactly like their fearless leader. They simply lie, and hope nobody will call them on it.

It doesnt matter one iota what the real count was....because everyone in Washington was hiding under their desks hoping it was a bad dream. They are scared, because if they dont carry out Pelosi, Reid, or their puppet Oblama's wishes, they will lose any power they have. However, it is becoming increasingly evident to them, that if the DO carry out what they are told to do, they will lose their jobs in the next election cycle.

America showed up to tell those in Washington that their days are numbered if they dont start doing their jobs and serve the people's interests over their own and their masters who are pulling the strings of power. As of this week, we still retain the power to vote, and since ACORN is becoming exposed as the criminal enterprise we have always known they are, voter fraud will be left up to the unions, and they just dont have the manpower to manipulate the voters like ACORN did so well.

For once, for once the actual citizens of America are taking responsibility for preventing the transformation of our government. If Washington thinks that the 9-12 protests were large, they have no idea how large and unruly that "mob" will be if they continue to ignore the will of the people. Not the coastal malcontents who make a living as agitators and organizers...but the majority of Americans who just happen to love this country as a matter of course, and they will rise up and stop the disease of socialism by any means necessary.

The harbingers of the democrat's future marched on Washington yesterday, and to ignore that obvious indication of the pulse of the electorate is to do so at one's political peril. Personally, I hope they do. Then it can be ended with a steadfast finality that will take decades for the left to get back.

They are scared, because if they dont carry out Pelosi, Reid, or their puppet Oblama’s wishes, they will lose any power they have. However, it is becoming increasingly evident to them, that if the DO carry out what they are told to do, they will lose their jobs in the next election cycle.

America showed up to tell those in Washington that their days are numbered if they dont start doing their jobs and serve the people’s interests over their own and their masters who are pulling the strings of power.

If Washington thinks that the 9-12 protests were large, they have no idea how large and unruly that “mob” will be if they continue to ignore the will of the people. Not the coastal malcontents who make a living as agitators and organizers…but the majority of Americans who just happen to love this country as a matter of course, and they will rise up and stop the disease of socialism by any means necessary.

The harbingers of the democrat’s future marched on Washington yesterday, and to ignore that obvious indication of the pulse of the electorate is to do so at one’s political peril. Personally, I hope they do. Then it can be ended with a steadfast finality that will take decades for the left to get back.

Cap 'n' Tax and the Barry-care bills will most likely pass. I say this because the democrats, twinged by this event and others, are a spiteful bunch, as they alwayas have been and will vote for these plans out of anger. They are not generallty aware of the power of the people to vote them out, or if they are, will station black panthers and HATE-corn members to block "average white people" from going to the polls. (Social justice, y'see)

The growing fester is that those who feel discrimnated against have been enabled to believe that they are right and can usurp the law and take it into their own hands to "make a difference".

I think, in my imagination, it would be very funny if congress ended up all black conservatives. Even then, though, the obama-bots would still cry racism and figure out a way to trty to make that stick.

The nation is clearly divided but reason and logic are not always helping us because they want it so badly to be the uptopian dream world, regardless of the fact that the ice cream has long since melted and is just a sticky mess on the parking lot pavement. But, that doesn't matter to them...they continue with that which doesn't work, won't work, never HAS worked...and again....insanity is defined as doing the same thing, the same way, expecting different results.

I'm curious as to the argument against the war in Afghanistan...and Iraq isn't done, either. But...Blammo is making both worse and yet....the sound of one hand clapping from the peanut gallery.

Crickets chirping...the subtle breeze....a tumbleweed goes by and I'm waiting for this monumental elite, charismatic, magical orater of a president to "make it all better".

Well, Perhaps I'd do better to wait for my hair to grow back.

I had a dream, I was sitting with Winston Churchill and Obama...and I had just taken a sip of my beer. Obama looked at Churchill and said, "They say you were a great leader. Well, not to sound rude, but you ain't seen NOTHIN' yet!"

Mr Churchill sat there with an impish grin, took a sip of sherry and said, "You're quite right....I haven't. In fact, I've already seen all of this before."

"No", says Barry, "We're not going to make the same mistakes as before."

Again, Mr Churchill took another thoughtful sip on his sherry and replied, "Well, I should like to think you are embarked on a journey of making fresh new ones, but as it turns out...No."

I was there, too, with my family. We had to leave the rallying point early because there were too many people. So we started up Pennsylvania Avenue towards Capitol Hill and when we got there, the West Lawn was already full. So we were on a side street, as Pro mentioned, and people continued to pour into the area near the Capitol for hours, from all directions. When we headed back, a couple of hours later (my kids would only stand for so many speeches that they could barely hear because the crowd was way too big for the amplifiers to reach) we went down the Mall and there were thousands of people around the reflecting pool and down the Mall. Arnie/Jasper can look at all the MSM sites he wants, and parrot what his liberal masters tell him, but it was an inspiring, true grass-roots march of hundreds of thousands of patriots. We met people from all over the country, who spent their own money and took time off from real jobs (as opposed to paid Democratic rabble-rouser jobs) to come to Washington and show Congress that We the People want them to work for us, consistent with the Constitution. Be frightenedm, Arnie/Jasper, be very frightened. As one woman's sign read, "You Have Awakened A Sleeping Giant."

I was there. It was huge and powerful. It was America. If Cap and Trade or the health bill get passed, many of us agreed that we would drop what we are doing immediately and go to D.C. to protest. No permits, no warning, no planning--spontaneous combustion.

Arnie,

do your own research.

And why are you so eager to minimize the count of the protestors? Something about the size of the crowd must concern you.

btw, the eye in the sky pictures only show the main thoroughfare, not the side streets, the mall, latecomers, and people otherwise out of the camera's lens.

Reports yesterday had the number as high as 1.2 million. The organizers will give us an accurate count when things settle down. It will take a few days. But the number is really big, at least for those of us who believe our eyes instead of what the media masters tell us to believe.

Learn to think for yourself, arnie/jasper.
