There is no exemption for religious beliefs mentioned in the bill as it now stands.

Of course not, for several reasons:

1) It means that religious persons might put up a fight against forced abortion, sterilization, or contraception (surely to be pillars of Obama’s plan at some point, to “reduce costs”)

2) It means that practicioners who object to any of the above might not provide “reproductive” or “death with dignity” services

3) It means that people who, say, homeschool might object to government lackeys coming to their homes to inspect their health care practices

There’s a plethora of problems when you add religious exemptions to laws…people might not let you control them blindly.

And how would Obama be able to take over hospitals, clinics, and hospices staffed and run by religious otherwise?

We’re missing some context here. What *percentage* cuts are we talking about here? Cutting 3 billion out of a 6 billion dollar program is a “deep cut” but cutting 3 billion out of a 70 billion dollar program is just a nick.
