Ahnold was so promising coming out of the recall of davis way back when. He sounded conservative and of course he turned out to be a blue-blood dempublican that tried to bargain instead of lead.

Liberals just need to be told no. That's it. He finally took a hardline 'no' stance on the tax issue and they haven't done anything but squabble - but they haven't passed a faulty budget at least.

Californians have tried to stop their out of control congress at several special elections now, and yet we're still one of (if not the most) reliably notorious blue states out there thanks to our nearly all blue populous urban centers.

The nation isn't Liberal, at least not knowledgeably so. Maybe 11% is but the rest are either dependent on the government or simply ignorant. On the national scale, libs never get elected on the basis of being a Liberal either - but a moderate, whereas being a true conservative is likely to grab 40% of the vote off the bat. And yes, the nation is on the fast rails to California's current state; it probably won't even take a year with all the federal spending.

I say all this, and that I don't understand why and how the people of my state and others are able to even let it get to such a pathetic state - then I remember the media, pop-culture, public education, and the simple fact that most just don't care and never have. It's just not a real enough problem yet for the United States of Entertainment.

"In California’s misery, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican, has found some opportunity in standing his ground. Mr. Schwarzenegger has not only refused to sign off on stopgap measures like those proposed this week by Democratic lawmakers, but has also demanded that lawmakers adopt substantive changes in policy as part of any budget deal."

Hey Ahhhhnold,

Have you ever heard the expression of "closing the barn door after the horses have all got out"?

YOU SPENT IT ALL, you dumbass.....for every whiner, bleeding heart, mamaby-pamby program that came down the pike, you sucker. THIS is why foreign nationals, if for any other reason, should NOT be allowed in office. Not just the presidency...and you can see where that's gotten us.

I'm going to go deaden the pain now by sticking sharp things in my hands.
