So the issue when Obamy forced the Chrysler bondholders to accept less than their legal entitlement was just a detail with contract law.

And the issue when The Moron forced through a 790 Trillion “stimulus” package was just whether or not congress has the right to pass laws. They do. Case closed on that one too.

Nothing much going on in your world is there BVision? Just a disagreement here and there about interpreting a statute or two.

Those of us concerned with the dimunation of the world’s millenium-old social compact, the one held sacred by religions all over the world, and the reason why civilization has been able to make men productive creatures instead of lust-crazed and violent sexual competitors……we just don’t see the little picture, do we?

What’s at issue here is that the California constitution allows the voters to put issues such as this on the ballot. The ballot initiative process is generally necessary to get things done in California that the legislature is too gutless to put into law or too revenue hungry to ever enforce fiscal responsibility.

Prop 8 was on the ballot. It passed and gay marriages were banned. What happened, as almost always does when liberals lose, they runs to the courts, usually via the ACLU to overturn the legal will of the voters.

The voters won this time. The courts upheld the election results. End of story.

If the supporters want to change the law, put it back on the ballot for a straight up vote.

What I’m afraid of is when the Icky Homodrones and Dykes finally get their way ……… it won’t be enough. They will demand that they get a Sodom & Gonorrhea float in the Macys’ Day parade or worse yet, a “SPECIAL” Homo-Holiday with gift giving followed by a street orgy on Prime Time TV!!

Oh that’s it. The will of the people will not triumph over the law as it has been determined by the courts.

I also think it’s interesting how suddenly these things are cherished, property rights and legal interests and all. Any other day of the year these principles would be meaningless in any court in California or most of the rest of the country.
