‘Car Bomb’ Disabled Near The US Border

From the open border lobbyists at Reuters:

Car loaded with explosives disabled in Mexico

Sat Sep 11, 2010

CUIDAD [sic] JUAREZ, Mexico (Reuters) – Mexican police used a controlled explosion early on Saturday to eliminate the threat from a car packed with explosives in this violent city near the border with the United States, local officials said.

Local police responding to a call late on Friday that a person had been executed in an industrial sector of Ciudad Juarez discovered a car full of explosives near the body, federal police said in a statement.

Isn’t that beautiful?

Specialists removed most of the explosives from the car and then used a controlled explosion to eliminate any other threat, the police said…

We have been fighting the war on terror for at least nine years. And yet we now have car bombs from a new terrorist front literally on our border.

And our administration is doing what? Demanding that we show more tolerance?

Yes, that will show them.

Just slightly off topic – wherever it was you found that picture, did it was what city it is? I’ve always been interested by architecture, and the facades on the building faces are nice.

    Nope……nothing to fear at all.
    Can’t happen here…….

Isn’t it amazing how our country has gone in the trashcan since Obama took office?

I am 100% convinced (for those of you who went to college, you know what I am talking about) that this administration is crushing rights and nannying the same way as they do on college campi around the U.S. You have no rights or freedoms, the campus property is regulated by an entirely different set of codes and laws different from the U.S.

It is the same way now. Some people have more rights than others, and the ones we don’t like, can shut up or go to jail.

Brother Mithrandir, you have got that right.

You might as well send your kids to Vorkuta as to college.

The 21st century American university seems to have been designed as a disciplinary institution, a kind of gulag rather than a center of higher learning.

The operating principle on campus seems to be that the school decides everything about your life, followed by enforcement of that rule according to the principles of collective guilt, guilt by association, and guilty until proven innocent — and even then, still guilty.

You practically have to be a lawyer just to survive four years as an undergraduate. Rules, rules, rules –– most of which are unwritten or unpublished –– enforced arbitrarily and capriciously, on the innocent as well as the guilty, at random, without explanation, with no rhyme nor reason, and without any genuine attempt at justice or due process.

By the way, I am tending to the opinion that the campus police and office of student conduct are operated as university profit centers, drumming up fines against students willy-nilly, in amounts that will be sufficient to finance their own bloated budgets, and perhaps make some added contribution to university overhead. Think of it as supplementary tuition and fees.
