Dick Cheney’s Marginal Notes About Joe Wilson

Here is the notation Fitzgerald seems to believe will prove Libby’s "perjury" from his submissions (pdf) to the court:

In case you cannot read the Vice President’s handwriting, it reads:

Have they done this sort of thing before? Send an Amb[assador] to answer a question? Do we ordinarily send people out pro bono to work for us? Of did his wife send him on a junket?

These are sensible questions. Among other things they indicate Cheney had nothing to do with sending Wilson to Niger in the first place.

They also show that this arrangement was suspect from the start.

The real scandal is the our one party media has never asked these obvious questions.
