Chick-Fil-A Got Bomb Threat During ‘Buycott’

From the Associated Press:

Chick-fil-A supporters recognize appreciation day

August 1, 2012

ATLANTA (AP) — Chick-fil-A supporters are eating at the chicken chain’s restaurants as the company continues to be criticized for an executive taking a public position against same-sex marriage.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Baptist minister, declared Wednesday "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day."

A spokeswoman for the Rev. Billy Graham says the 93-year-old evangelist ate a Chick-fil-A lunch, including a chicken sandwich and waffle fries, at his North Carolina home.

Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press last month that the Atlanta-based company was "guilty as charged" for backing "the biblical definition of a family." Gay rights groups and others answered with calls for boycotts.

Opponents of Cathy’s stance have planned "Kiss Mor Chiks" for Friday, asking people of the same sex to show up at Chick-fil-A locations and kiss each other.

So that’s all that happened yesterday: "Chick-fil-A supporters are eating at the chicken chain’s restaurants." There is no mention of the unprecedented phenomenon of thousands of people showing up at Chick-Fil-As all across the country to show their support for traditional marriage and the right to free speech.

In fact, the entire AP article is only 129 words long. And half of it is dedicated to Mr. Cathy’s comments and the gay groups calls for boycotts and the plans for a ‘kiss-in’ protest tomorrow by homosexual groups.

Meanwhile, there is this from the Daily Caller:

Bomb threat closes W. Va. Chick-fil-A on ‘appreciation day’

By Alex Pappas | Wednesday August 1, 2012

A bomb threat closed a Chick-fil-A franchise in West Virginia for several hours on Wednesday as supporters across the country participated in an organized “appreciation day” of the fast-food chain.

The Journal-News reported that a Chick-fil-A in Martinsburg was closed for about three hours after a bomb threat was called in around lunchtime. According to the report, the caller said a “device” had been put inside the restaurant.

Police allowed customers back inside after no bomb was found inside the restaurant…

So far this news has only been reported by a local West Virginia newspaper and the Daily Caller. But just try to imagine if the politics were reversed, and there had been a bomb threat made against a liberal ‘appreciation day’ event. The news media would be shouting it from the rooftops.

But since it is just the latest example of the intolerance of the Left and their use of terrorist tactics, it’s not considered to be newsworthy by our media guardians.

Look John. Any reference with Boob & Rachael Maddow must be avoided at all cost. Deal?

I hear MSNBC is in negotiation with Roger Rabbit as their new anchor.

I believe that this is the most important aspect of the “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” is this; you will hardly notice it’s existence if you read any of the mainstream papers or watch their TV outlets. Now, when the 4 people show up for a “kiss in” it will be all over the news on Friday! It’s like sending reporters to the community pool to watch some kid do a belly flop instead of covering Michael Phelps!

I have read posts on friends FB pages of several hour wait as their local Chick-fil-A and have seen the photos of cars backed up for blocks waiting to get into the store to buy the yummy Chicken sandwiches.
