Sheehan Delivers Katrina Aid To Radical

The latest update from Michael Moore’s website, re the newly arrived in Louisiana, Mother Sheehan:

A Day in Algiers

From Jason:

I am just heading back now from our convoy into New Orleans today. Cindy Sheehan accompanied us on our trip and helped us deliver goods to Malik Rahim in Algiers.

Cindy was wonderful and made everyone who came in contact with here feel special. Algiers is a community that has been devastated… not by Katrina, but by the amount of neglect that the people there have received. Algiers used to be a community of 75,000 people just 2 weeks ago. Now it has only about 3,000 people left.

We unloaded about 9 cars of goods and are now on our way back to camp.

Cindy was writing a bunch of notes for her blog so check it out stay tuned for that.

As discussed elsewhere, Cindy Sheehan’s compadres, the august Veterans For Peace , have been helping themselves to Red Cross food and other supplies.

So the supplies they brag about having delivered to former Black Panther and now Moslem radical, Malik Rahim, were almost certainly pilfered from the Red Cross.

"There are gangs of white vigilantes near here riding around in pickup
trucks, all of them armed, and any young Black they see who they figure
doesn’t belong in their community, they shoot him." — Malik Rahim

Rahim claims to have set up his own medical center, where he says he takes care of the sick and infirm:

“We’re looking to make the mosque a health clinic and establish some kind of school. From there we gonna try to start doing some church services so people can start feeling some sense of community,” Rahim says. “If you wait on the government, you won’t get nothing.” ( LA Weekly )

Please note the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) label on the box at his elbow. Where do you suppose that came from?

Rahim is also a Rastafarian as well as a Green Party candidate:

Behold this blast from Malik Rahim’s (neé Donald Guyton) not too distant past:

Workers World Dec. 17, 1998: Malik Rahim

APPEAL FOR SOLIDARITY
Angola 2 fight La. prison hell

Excerpts from a talk by Malik Rahim at the Communist Manifesto conference Dec. 5.

I’m here on behalf of two revolutionary freedom fighters that have spent the last 26 years in solitary confinement in Angola, a state prison in Louisiana. I met these freedom fighters as a political prisoner in 1970. I was in a shoot-out with the police in New Orleans as a member of the Black Panther Party.

While incarcerated, the prison administration, in the hope of killing all of us, mixed what they called Black gangsters with revolutionaries, in the hopes that we would cancel each other out.

But instead many of them joined the party and organized the first prison branch of the Black Panthers.

Cindy seems to have a positive thing for "freedom fighters", at least as long as they are against the US (or t he man ).

At any rate, this is at least the second delivery the VFP’s Camp Casey III have made to Rahim, according to Moore’s site. Reports there also mention Rahim has been making deliveries of his own — to his Mosque.

Great work, Mother Sheehan!
