Climate Change Will Wipe Trillions From Economy

From the UK’s Independent:

Official prophecy of doom: Global warming will cause widespread conflict, displace millions of people and devastate the global economy

Leaked draft report from UN panel seen by The Independent is most comprehensive investigation into impact of climate change ever undertaken – and it’s not good news

By Tom Bawden | 18 March 2014

Climate change will displace hundreds of millions of people by the end of this century, increasing the risk of violent conflict and wiping trillions of dollars off the global economy, a forthcoming UN report will warn.

But they aren’t hysterical or anything.

The second of three publications by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, due to be made public at the end of this month, is the most comprehensive investigation into the impact of climate change ever undertaken.

And you can tell it is ‘comprehensive’ because it does not admit any opposing views.

A draft of the final version seen by The Independent says the warming climate will place the world under enormous strain, forcing mass migration, especially in Asia, and increasing the risk of violent conflict.

Based on thousands of peer-reviewed studies and put together by hundreds of respected scientists, the report predicts that climate change will reduce median crop yields by 2 per cent per decade for the rest of the century – at a time of rapidly growing demand for food. This will in turn push up malnutrition in children by about a fifth, it predicts.

And never mind that global warming, should it occur, would extend the growing season and allow lands never cultivated before to be cultivated. All of which would lead to greater food production, not less. But these ‘scientists’ would never let such minor details get in the way of their very lucrative fear-mongering.

The report also forecasts that the warming climate will take its toll on human health, pushing up the number of intense heatwaves and fires and increasing the risk from food and water-borne diseases…

Of course, no one ever dies from cold weather.

Relatively low local temperature increases of 1C or more above pre-industralised levels are projected to “negatively impact” yields of major crops such as wheat, rice and maize in tropical and temperate regions…

We know exactly what the temperature was before industrialization? And it never changed? Not even during the numerous ice ages?

As Americans, we have given up reasoning and diplomacy. We now just threaten each other with violence.

Great news. The ensuing wars and famine will cause mass casualties and great reductions in those peoples’ carbon footprint, thus reducing climate change. For a second I was worried.

This is good news source to get your town or city to stop funding UN Agenda 21 and ICLEI. It’s an on going battle though, because they buy the ICLEI software and try and run the town or city based
on UN regulating. It’s happening all over the US and the EPA is using it.

“Climate change will displace hundreds of millions of people by the end of this century…”

Science fiction writers use the same technique of placing the setting of their “futureworld” in time about 100 years ahead of now. This is done for a couple of reasons. One, they want the people to see seem “tangible” or familiar to us because in 100 years clothing, styles and technology won’t have changed so as to leave all the familiar behind (shoes are still shoes, etc.) but two, to place it “far enough away” so as to be removed from the sociopolitical times of the current world.

But something the sci-fi writer recognizes that the committed leftist does not is that the cerebral cortex of the human brain doesn’t change and hasn’t changed in thousands of years. Romans were remarkably similar to current day humans, with the same emotions, abilities and faults that we have now.

So by saying “By the end of this century” they hope to fear-monger people into giving up their cash to save the world. The motivation for doing so, of course, has nothing to do with saving the world but to separate the fool from their money.

And there are plenty of fools.

I think we have entered into a new age of wholesale grifting*. We have read stories and watched movies set in the 1800’s where swindlers were selling or otherwise cheating others out of their money, their homes, etc. Selling snake-oil, magic potions, herbal remedies, etc. Most were cheap intoxicants or even poisonous elixirs that could and often did, kill the user.

There were few, if any laws to prevent or punish such purveyors of the products and they got away with it. But in this age of regulating everything, it has come to pass that the regulators themselves are now selling the end-of-the-world. Used to be it was just a guy with a sandwich sign walking around handing out pamphlets to passers-by. Now it’s an entire industry.

All I have to say is——-“wow”.

I think they got the “displacing” people and “wiping” dollars off the global economy backwards.

This is why global warmers have increased the right of bugs and animals above farming and cattle grazing. Decrease population through starvation.
