Clinton-Appointed Judge Gags ‘DC Madam’

From those relentless seekers of the truth at the DNC’s Washington Post:

Judge Orders Lid On Phone Records

Release Likened to Witness Intimidation

Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the woman accused of being the D.C. madam, can’t release any more phone records that would reveal patrons of her Washington escort service, a federal judge said yesterday.

U.S. District Judge Gladys Kessler placed a temporary restraining order on Palfrey and her civil attorney, prohibiting them from sharing additional phone records with news organizations or the public.

Palfrey and her attorney had prompted — critics said encouraged — speculation in the past few months about who might be publicly identified as a client after they turned over a sizable portion of her business phone records to the ABC News program “20/20.”

Palfrey has said that she regretted any embarrassment felt by her former customers but that she was letting a news organization mine her records so she could find potential defense witnesses and fight government charges that she ran an illegal prostitution ring…

Since the judge’s political background is unnoted, this is yet another opportunity for us to play “guess that party affiliation.”

But of course it is as usual, all too obvious.

From Judge Kessler’s Wikipedia entry:

Gladys Kessler

Gladys Kessler is an United States District Court Judge for the District of Columbia. She was nominated to the court by President Clinton, a Democrat, and is known as one of the most liberal judges in the D.D.C. Judge Kessler was appointed to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in July 1994.

Isn’t it the liberal feminist types who usually want to go after the “johns” in prostitution cases?

It’s the same old story that’s so often been told.

Once again the Republicans and conservatives get slimed. But our watchdog media and the Democrat-stacked judiciary always protect their own.
