There are plenty of respected Black conservatives, in and out of government.

Clarence Thomas, to cite one example of many, is nearly worshipped by conservatives, and has been called the greatest justice of all time by some.

Thomas Sowell is consistently rated one of the top three conservative writers. Walter Williams is also highly respected.

And there are many more.

To cite Alan Keyes as an example of anything is dumb. He’s a smart guy but has never made any attempt to reach anybody but dedicated idealogues. Love his conviction, but his lack of success has nothing to do with his race.

Alan Keyes didn’t have a chance, because as Jobeth said – he was considered an “Uncle Tom” by liberal blacks and oh, ran a horrible campaign, sorry if that hurts your feelings. He had zero national exposure and zero big donors. Tough to be a black Republican on the national scene is what you should have learned.

Condi Rice, to this day – is one of the most revered black women in America – and a conservative Republican to boot. In fact, many “Republican” think tanks were pushing hard for her in 2006 to run for 2008 , she did a 2 month press blitz to quell the rumors – so if your bull shit is true – are you saying “Republicans” would rather have run a black woman than a black man, with full support?

Alen Keys is someone I could have voted for in a heart beat as is Mike Steel, as is Condi, but to name a few, who all by the way receive hateful retoric by the black community for being “Uncle Toms”.

THESE black people THINK. They THINK about America and American’s future and try their best to put forward plans that work for America. Geez, what a concept!

Each of these folks could have easily won a position in the presidental campaigns IF THE BLACK folk had rallied around THEM like they did Obama.

However, they didn’t offer lots of personal goodies for the “gimme” crowd. They expected everyone to strive to be independant and productive.

And, (PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY) NO! it is not only blacks that are in the gimme crowd. I see that is a totally bi racial club.
