Code Pink Is ‘Emboldened’ By Obama Win

From a triumphant Code Pink press release:

CODEPINK declares Obama win a victory for the peace movement

November 5th, 2008

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Like the rest of the world, CODEPINK is emboldened by Sen. Barack Obama’s victory in a historic presidential election.

The victory came through the hard work of millions within the progressive peace and justice movement within the past six years, bolstered by a values shift among the majority of Americans and their growing demand and faith in change — including an end to war.  It is a victory for the movement and inspiration for further change!

“Americans have stood up to say they know the cost of war in lives, dignity and money,” said Jodie Evans, CODEPINK cofounder. “Being against war is the winning decision. They are ready for change. War is so over.”

This victory will make it much harder for politicians to submit to the greed of Wall Street and the war machine, bending their own morals, by supporting war — as they have for the past six years.

But CODEPINK’s work is not nearly over. CODEPINK members will be in the halls of Congress and in city halls nationwide, using playful, disarming methods to remind politicians of the change their constituents demand and shine a pink light on any absurdities and abuses of power. They will urge them to end the occupation of Iraq and provide reparations for its people, to refuse to send troops to another losing war in Afghanistan, to create a diplomatic solution to the conflict with Iran, to restore our civil liberties and protect our environment, to bail out homeowners in foreclosure because of predatory lenders, and to create a NEW New Deal for America: jobs, housing, universal health care, education, roads and public transportation.

“We can’t stop now,” said Medea Benjamin, CODEPINK cofounder. “An Obama administration will need our help to live up to its promises.”

Big surprise, huh?

Note the mention once again of a new “New Deal”:

[T]o create a NEW New Deal for America: jobs, housing, universal health care, education, roads and public transportation.

As we have previously noted, what they are talking about is FDR’s “Second Bill Of Rights.”

Thanks again, fellow Americans.

Shine a pink light on what? These moonbats think we’ve lost the war in Iraq? Someone rub a Defibulator across these dumbos chest!! WAKE UP PINKOS!! IF WE DON’T HAMMER THE IDIOTS WHO WANT TO PLANT YOUR DUMB AZZES IN THE GROUND THERE…….THEY WILL DO IT HERE!! THAT IS THEIR PROMISE TO US!! (deep breathing) Maybe we should send you to the Pakistan mountians and you can talk some sense into these misguided people. Lord knows…..they only follow the part of the Koran that tells them to shed the blood of the Infidels! Send us a telegram and let us know hows it going. BUT…don’t think for 1 minute that the U.S. Marines will come rescue your sorry souls after the way you treated them in Berkley. Who says there is no justice? BTW…..nice do……NOT!!!

  2. BitterTN says:

Did I read that right? They want us to provide reparations to the people of Iraq? This group is more unhinged then I realized.

  3. artpa says:

Anyone else notice the communist flag and ANSWER at the impromptu party in front of the white house last night?

  4. proreason says:

“don’t think for 1 minute that the U.S. Marines will come rescue ”

re-enlistment is about to go WAY down.

Look for a draft soon, as Obama is forced into numerous fire-fights with his ex-friends around the world.

  5. curvyred says:

And how do they feel about Barry negotiating with Iraq to delay troop with-drawal until after the election?

“Responding to a column by Iranian-born analyst Amir Taheri in the New York Post, Obama spokeswoman Wendy Morigi insisted Obama “has never urged a delay in negotiations, nor has he urged a delay in immediately beginning a responsible drawdown of our combat brigades.”

But in the same statement, Morigi said Obama had told the Iraqis they should not rush through a “Strategic Framework Agreement” governing the future of U.S. troops until after President Bush leaves office, the Associated Press reported.”

I have a nineteen-year-old son, I am concerned about a draft, my son will serve his country anyways as he plans to enlist in the airforce as an officer when he is done with his electrical engineering degree.

I think a voluntary armed forces is much better than any draft just by the mere fact the troops are there because THEY WANT TO PROTECT US, not because they have been mandated to.

  6. proreason says:

Some young people want to be in the military because they are attracted to the life. They will volunteer under any circumstances.

Others feel a kinship with the country. Those volunteers will fall off sharply. Those volunteers are never leftists. The ones who would have been happy to volunteer under McCain will chose not to risk their lives for a leader who mocks them.

The bigger problem will be the exodus of the 30-40 year old vets who hate Obammie. This will become a very serious problem for national security.

I agree with your point that a voluntary service is much superior, I just don’t think it’s sustainable under a Marxist who has contempt for the military and the values most military people hold.

  7. Liberals Demise says:

proreason has an exellent point. You only need look back to the Heady Days of the Clinton Regime. The mass exodus of ALL the good people who would not be commanded by a Draft Dodging, Pot puffing, Womanizing Third World Chicken plucker! He and his cackling hen af a wife openly “LOATHE” the military. G-DAMN HIPPIES!! YA…I served during the Vietnam War and they didn’t like me or my kind very much. if at all. Thats ok….I hated them back!!

  8. VMAN says:

Let us not forget the president select’s civilian security force he intends to build. Another thing that I have had enough of is that we haven’t won the war in Iraq yet. We won the war in two weeks. Our forces rolled right over those creeps. It was the insurgency that was the problem and we have pretty much taken care of that. The thing that pisses me off is that we are already pulling troops out of Iraq and dumbo will most likely get the credit. By the way I have a nephew that has already told me he won’t re enlist because of you know who.

  9. Reality Bytes says:

“..using playful, disarming methods” You mean like throwing yourself in front of a motorcade. Better be careful. The secret service will blow your ass away if you do it front of the first black American President. That’ll fix em!

  10. sheehanjihad says:

everytime I see that withered up douchebag the words, “face” and “claw hammer” come to mind

  11. Timmer says:

Does anyone besides me remember these people from the 60’s?
Everytime I see them running around, peace signs held high, I am transported back to high school and college.
They were the same then, as now, little or nothing constructive to do.
The only difference is the name of the war!
Most of them are spoiled, attention hungry AGING hippies…..Grow up and get a life!

  12. proreason says:

“I have had enough of is that we haven’t won the war in Iraq yet. We won the war in two weeks”

    Exactly.

How is it that lies repeated endlessly become truths. We won the war. We beat back the insurgency. We improved the lives of the iraqi people a hundredfold. We maintained a stong economy until Barney Franks and Franklin Raines managed to undo it. Employment was great, and on and on.

And what did we hear. 32 times above the fold of the Slimes, high-school pranks by two childish morons in a prison in Iraq were portrayed as a crime fest equivalent to Vlad the Impaler. And the American people bought it. Meanwhile, actual crimes in Iraq were at about the level of a town of 3,000 people, despite the soldiers being under constant pressure.

And of course, that is only one example of thousands.

We live in a country of idiots.

And now they have their king, ready to make the oceans recede and heal the sick.

  13. proreason says:

“An Obama administration will need our help to live up to its promises.”

Not from me. I’ll be with the millions focused on limiting my tax spend instead of creating jobs, just like during the Carter years. They never learn.

  14. DEZ says:

Every time I see Medea, I think of the movie, The Island of Dr. Moreau.
She has to be a cross between a wharf rat and a three toed sloth with the mange tossed in for good measure, wheres the D-Con?

  15. proreason says:

“She has to be a cross between a wharf rat and a three toed sloth ”

Ever stop to think about the power homosexuals have somehow acquired. Barney the Dinasaur, the code pink cretin, San Francisco.

I think they are fueling the left’s anger much more than blacks.

What kind of a culture are we that we let the looniest idiots of tiny deranged fringe minorities set the agenda for our country?

  16. Liberals Demise says:

I don’t know but lets go ask the village idiot…ah…er…I mean the President elect!

  17. btown says:

    proreason,

I myself don’t equate San Fran, Barney and Code Pink with all-encompassing political sway. Sure, there are some coastal states with very vocal, pro-gay communities, but they reside in Democratic strongholds that didn’t put succeed at putting cold fish Kerry in office last time. They didn’t decide this election in my opinion.

But Prop 8 did in fact pass in California thanks to an out-of-state ministry coming in and putting up the money for more ads. So if gays really want to make an impact next time, my guess is they better get out of blue states. And I don’t see that happening any time soon, knowhatimean?

  18. DEZ says:

“I think they are fueling the left’s anger much more than blacks.”

They are of course the extreme lunatic fringe, stupid, loud, and persistent.
That they are listened to is what gives me pause.
And I should apologize to any members of the animal kingdom that I have offended by accusing them of sharing any genetic makeup with the festering skank named Medea.

  19. Landshark says:

Why are left-wing women uglier than homemade soap? What is it about their political beliefs that tends to attract women for whom beer goggles are not enough?

  20. Professor_Repulso says:

Well there, Landshark, you could have described their features as more resembling a horse’s ass sewn up with a grapevine but that would have been rather crude.

  21. Kilmeny says:

Maybe Obama could take some of that spreadable wealth and buy them some normal clothes already.

“An Obama administration will need our help to live up to its promises.”

But seriously, ladies, I think you’ll find Obama finds you just as whacko as the rest of us do, even if he does agree with your idiotic policies. Don’t hold your breath waiting for that request for help now.

  22. DEZ says:

Why are left-wing women uglier than homemade soap?

They are far uglier than homemade soap, a maggot infested wound describes them closer.
Regardless, they are ugly from the inside out, they have souls that are so filthy that the infection boils its way to the surface so all the world can to be repulsed.
They display their perverted flesh, with rotting witless smiles, oblivious to how noxious their next breath of protest smells.
They are a no mans land, nothing with less than four feet would ever dare sniff them, let alone mate with them, they therefore gather in groups of likewise sickeningly twisted beasts to showcase their perversions before dieing without ever knowing what love feels like.
My mother would have called them uglier than homemade sin.

  23. Professor_Repulso says:

Look at that buster point nose and those buck teeth. Her appearance and deranged mental state are probably due to the likelihood that in her youth, her pappy grabbed her around the ankles and used her to split wood.

  24. DEZ says:

You really think her father would do that Prof.
I am gonna bet he would never touch her, no matter how much she pleaded.
The same for the family dog, the horse, the goat, snakes and flies.
    No wood has ever came close to that wedge head.;-}

I understand your thought-train. My retirement packet is in (started it two months ago). These recent events have reinforced my decision. Once the universal health care scam takes place, everyone can have the same benefits that once was a major part of a 20-year military career. I’m sure this will bolster the military.

  26. Professor_Repulso says:

Maybe not, DEZ. There is also the possibility that her face caught fire and she tried to put it out with an ice pick.

  27. jelloflavoredmidget says:

Whatever happened to Sheehan? I miss her. Anyway, the leader of the Code Pink is Hot, I don’t know what you guys are talking about. So is Grace Slick these days too.

  28. JohnMG says:

jelloflavoredmidget; …..”the leader of the Code Pink is Hot….”

CORPSMAN!! CORPSMAN!! WE NEED SOME MORPHINE HERE!!

  29. JannyMae says:

    “Code Pink ‘Emboldened.’…”

Um…excuse me, but is there a puke emoticon that I could employ here? Just reading this portion of the post made me extremely nauseous.

Why don’t these incredibly stupid bimbos march on al Qaeda with their, “stop the killing,” message? Do you think that they would be quite so, “emboldened,” then?

When I read this article the vision of our troops and embassy staff evacuating our Embassy in Saigon came to my mind. I can see the same situation in Baghdad if Obama doesn’t do this right… and I’m sure that he will not.
Once we begin the pullout, any bets on how long it will take the terrorists to launch their next attack on our Country?
Any bets on how long Iraq will stand before being taken over by the terrorists?

  32. BillK says:

I’ve said in other threads it will look just like the fall of Saigon.

I honestly don’t know why our troops don’t just lay down their arms now and walk off the battlefield.

The left would never prosecute them for it, and there is absolutely zero reason why they should continue to risk their lives as all the insurgents and al Qaeda need to do is go on holiday until January 20.

Casey Sheehan’s life really was wasted for absolutely nothing – because of the actions of the American electorate and Barack Obama.

  33. wardmama4 says:

BillK & others – Most of the Troops don’t do it for the CINC, the Party or even politics they do it for America and until it gets horrid – they will keep doing it and those in Iraq & Afghanistan won’t leave those people whom we are attempting to help come into the 21st century go to the killing fields for the likes of 60s retread hags and an empty suit. Not yet. Not right now.

As for going to Pakistan – Ms Benjamin (also Code Pink) did and was arrested (as having already been kicked out of Father Fidel’s island paradise when she went there to live and alas found it wanting and started to protest there) – of course Soros or Murtha or someother such moneybags bailed her sorry ass out of the mess she found herself in.

-‘War is so over’- Yeah and if weren’t for the likes of you and the other anti-war mongers – it probably would have been a done deal years ago. The only real problem is that these fools 1) won’t even protest Obama when he gets a hold of reality (i.e. it is his legacy) and won’t pull out the Troops and 2) won’t/don’t Thank the very people who put their lives on the line every single day so that Ms Evans and other assorted anti-Americans, fruitcakes, nuts and loons can say any damn thing that they want and not be haulled off to jail.

But that is ok too – because most them do it because it is for America not for the Thanks, either.
