Code Pink Lunatic Attacks Condoleezza Rice
First the view from YouTube:
Then from the wire services”
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, right, is confronted by CodePink member Desiree Anita Ali-Fairooz, her hands painted red, as she arrives to testify before the House Foreign Relations Committee regarding US policy in the Middle East where she spoke about Iraq, Iran, and the Israel Palestinian conflict on Capitol Hill in Washington, Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007.

A U.S. State Department security agent (R) jumps towards Desiree Anita Ali-Fairooz of Texas, 50, who yelled at U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice before Rice testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Capitol Hill in Washington October 24, 2007.

Desiree Anita Ali-Fairooz, 50, is taken away after jumping up in front of U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice before Rice’s testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Capitol Hill in Washington October 24, 2007. Fairooz, an anti-war protester, waved blood-colored hands in Rice’s face at the congressional hearing on Wednesday and shouted “war criminal!”, but was pushed away and detained by police.
Then the White House reaction, via The Hill:
Perino: It seems that Congress is run by Code Pink
By Karissa Marcum
October 24, 2007The White House reacted harshly Wednesday after a protester at a House hearing got close enough to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to put her dyed hands in Rice’s face.
White House spokeswoman Dana Perino, referencing the incident and calling it “despicable,” said it “seems that, increasingly, Congress is being run by Code Pink.”
The anti-war group’s members are often arrested on Capitol Hill for disrupting congressional hearings and events.
However, few protests have been as dramatic as Wednesday’s, at which protester Desiree Anita Ali-Fairooz screamed at the secretary of State and yelled that the blood “of millions of Iraqis” is on the hands of the administration.
She was one of five protesters arrested at the hearing and was charged with disorderly conduct, defacing of government property and assault on a federal officer, U.S. Capitol Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider said.
Perino thanked Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Tom Lantos (D-Calif.) for “trying to restore order to that hearing.”
Protester Paul Zulkowitz, who had already been arrested on Monday, was charged with unlawful conduct and disruption of Congress. Also arrested were Susan Benjamin and Lori Perdue, as well as an unnamed protester.
So which leading Democrat light will pay her fine?
Probably the same one who invited her and the rest of Code Pink there in the first place.
And how many times will “Medea” Benjamin be given a "get out of jail free" card?

This moron put the “bag” in “douchebag”. What a lunatic.
October 24th, 2007 at 7:24 pm
I would very much like to know who provided her pass and reserved seat. Perhaps the press should start asking the Pinkos who it was. Perhaps, in the spirit of “full disclosure” they should include this info in their news reports.
October 24th, 2007 at 7:49 pm
Security appears to be handling Ms Ali-Fairooz way too gently. Surely they could at least administer a sleeper style choke-hold.
October 24th, 2007 at 8:17 pm
Rice needs some self-defense courses. No way would I let a lunatic that close to me without breaking open the proverbial can o’ whoop-ass. Then the Pinkos would get the hint that maybe they shouldn’t get so close.
October 24th, 2007 at 8:21 pm
Doesn’t Desiree look like she’s doing a rendition of Sissy Spacek in the shower scene in “Carrie”?
We should take a lesson from Canada

She was one of five protesters arrested at the hearing and was charged with disorderly conduct, defacing of government property and assault on a federal officer,
What about charging her dumbass with ASSUALT?
A good swift finger jab to her adams apple would have shut her up quick.

The video was great - everyone looked shocked as s*** because you got to figure one of two things is going thru their heads - if this is blood I sure as h*** don’t want to get any on me & if it is paint - I sure as h*** don’t want to get any on me. A lot of weaving and dodging while trying to corral the loco bimbo - all heightened by the screaming & yelling. These freaks are NOT suppose to get that close to those testifying - notice they can do it to Ms Rice without a second thought - bet none of them have the guts to have done the same thing to General Petraeus!
Yes, it would be nice to know which congresscritter is providing the free passes and the get out of jail cards too.
So - how many arrests does it take in DC to actually end up in jail - perhaps that is the reason it has such a high crime rate?!?
October 24th, 2007 at 9:24 pm
Hey just caught this -’Also arrested were Susan Benjamin. . ‘- isn’t that BSCS’s gal pal’s Medea’s real name?
So does she get arrested under her real name or is she using it now to start a ‘fresh’ rap sheet?
October 24th, 2007 at 9:34 pm
Do the Capitol police screen the attendees at these hearings? One would think they have a list of these crapweasels and deny them entrance regardless of who gave them a pass.
It’s one thing to have a peaceful protest at a public gathering. The intentional disruption of a public meeting is quite another.
If I were Condi, I’d sue that b*tch Ali-Fairooz in civil court for harassment.
October 24th, 2007 at 10:41 pm
Gila monster, harrassment, my ass. I would sue that CodePinko for assault. Assault can be a) physical or b) verbal. What if that creep had a gun and shot Condi Rice? I wonder if the MSM would be questioning who gave her a pass if that would have happened?
Bill O’Reilly said last night that someone is going to be seriously hurt by these lunatics. Our law enforcement better wake up.
And just how inept is the damn Capital Police?
October 24th, 2007 at 11:25 pm
You are ascribing to ineptness what may well be dictates from above to allow the Pinkers in to do what they want.
Can you imagine the lawsuits against the Capital Police if they try to prevent a Pinker from getting in?
It’s like the thing about Police and murder; until the loons actually do something like this, they’ve done nothing illegal.
Now if you want to complain about ineptness, odds are those arrested will not even be charged.
October 24th, 2007 at 11:27 pm
This is GWB’s girl, what the hell is going on? Actually seeing this deviant next to a complete woman like Condi tell’s you why these woman need a cause. It makes them feel like a person.. The woman did not do anything but make the terrorist org. code pinko look immature and foolish, thank’s for more video proof. In the name of security the general population and media should be separed by a wall and watch on a wide screen screen with a two way speaker equipt with a cut off switch. The half-woman could be charged with a crime but since there is almost nothing left for GWB to sell us out on, it gives the him another opportunity to make the GOP look soft. Why did he not appoint another V/P halfway thru his second term to run for president in ‘08. Yes, he has an education, but he is not a thinker and I am sorry he was the only conservative to vote for last time.
October 24th, 2007 at 11:32 pm
The executive branch is required to provide testimony to the legislative branch. Congress is responsible to keep order at these hearings and protect those who testify. They’ve proven time and again that they cannot run an orderly hearing. So, until Congress resolve this persistent problem, the White House should refuse to send anyone up to the Hill.
October 24th, 2007 at 11:35 pm
Since when has looking “childish” or “foolish” ever been a detriment to anyone on the left?
Come on, they still use the same “Hey hey, ho ho” chant that was a tired retread by the late 1960s, and look at PETA’s paint throwing at people wearing furs.
They’ll do whatever they need to to get press attention because, frankly, the MSM will never call them on looking childish and stupid, why “they’re expressing their First Amendment rights!”
However, protest at an abortion clinic and you’re a dangerous loon who needs to be under law enforcement surveillance.
(I can’t be the only one who knows the New York TImes would have never disclosed an FBI wiretapping program aimed at infiltrating “dangerous radical pro-life groups.”)
October 25th, 2007 at 12:25 am
GWB was never a conservative. Just a pretend one. I am getting so sick of being offered these political choices of a rock and a mildly disguised hard place.
And Condi Rice is one classy gal. I think I read somewhere that she is a concert caliber pianist? As accomplished as she is, that just gets swept under the rug. In anyone else that one thing would be enough.
October 25th, 2007 at 12:58 am
It’s time cabinet members get better security. The fact that this crazy broad was allowed to get this close to Condi was appalling. This shit is borderline treason and certainly terrorism. I wish Condi had put a stiff left hook upside this loon’s head and drew some real blood. It would of been self defense and no one could blame her for it. The way she held her composure just shows what an amazing woman she is. I would vote for her to be president in a heartbeat.
October 25th, 2007 at 1:52 am
First of all, WHAT THE HELL KIND OF SECURITY IS THAT? I mean, she just walked right up to her, she didn’t run, she didn’t break through any barriers - just sauntered on up. THAT is a problem, for any cabinet member.
If I had been Rice, I would have begun the meeting with an understated request that all those in attendance leave their children at home and moved on.
Rice, it must be said, handled herself like the woman we know her to be - poised and in control. A remarkable example to us all, and one that these protesters could certainly learn a lesson from.
I wonder if the Democrats are familiar with the term “reciprocity”. It sure would be interesting to see a few Republican members invite in some lunatics, just to even the odds.
October 25th, 2007 at 4:42 am
I wonder how fast I would be arrested if I did the job the capital police are unable to do and pounded Desiree’s face into the consistency of three day old raw liver……? We all know the answer, but it would be heartwarming to sit in a DC jail with them trying to sponge what is left of her face off the chamber floor, and her in an ambulance weeping through piles of bandages and hearing the EMT guys talking about how she will never be able to walk in public again without making people vomit. Wait…..she does that already.
It’s just me, Mr Extreme…..but taking that group to task physically…and I mean taking my tater stick with the intent of permanently destroying the facial features of anyone who tries that again………I dont really care what message that would be sending…..the fact is, they would pay dearly for their treason, and the democrat that sponsored them would be held responsible, and the capitol police would breathe a sigh of relief seeing that someone else would be going to jail doing the job they are paid to do, but are ordered not to by a congressjerk who needs to slime anyone connected to Bush.
When hillary gets to be king, I will wager that a civilian wont be able to get within the capital grounds much less into a testimony. And, if any person tries to crap on her parade, they will be “fostered” into a new non living arrangement. Just keep watching Hugo Chavez to see how we are going to be dealing with her “adjustments” after the coronation.

Some of the insightful comments posted on YouTube in response to the video clip:
We are at a nadir in public discourse in this country.
The schools, the culture, have succeeded in dumbing down so many people that this is what passes for thought.
Imagine what would have happened to any of these people in WWII, when the world was still run by grown-ups.
October 25th, 2007 at 6:43 am
There are so many reasons I stopped being a liberal but one of the main ones was that they are just so freakin’ hateful. All the time with the violent language, with the anger, the cussin’ - rant, rant, rant, rave, rave, rave, rave - they never quit.No moderation, no middle ground - just hate.
October 25th, 2007 at 7:13 am
Why are these democratic staffers who keep giving these people passes not punished? outrageous, it just goes on and on.
October 25th, 2007 at 7:58 am
Musette - yes you are right, Condoleezza is a trained pianist.
Condoleezza acted properly - while I and most of us here have visions of cold cocking the freak - it is and would be exactly what they want - and would have made this an above the fold front page news item. Much as it hurts - we can not lower ourselves to their level (look at how much we dislike the RHINOs and Demlites we have wasting our tax dollars in Congress right now). Unlike the freaks on YouTube - Ms Rice has class and great self-control.
The real answer to Code Pinko is to find a way - much like Rush’s charity auction of the Reid letter - that is so in their face, so tables turned and news making - to show them up for the commie traitors they are - and to also make a lightening strike point to the specific Congresscritter(s) who are letting them in (knowing full well exactly what their intentions are). Once is an oops, twice - maybe you are stupid - but come on - this is how many now? This is intentional. And that IS illegal.
While the CPs are going to scream ‘Free Speech’ - just like not being able to scream ‘fire’ in a crowded theater - these particular actions (disruption, getting up into the face of a person about to testify, moving around during the hearing) are Illegal - and someone had better start enforcing the law. As we know with the absolutely enabling and unable to control anything Shrieker of the House (who appears to be intimidated by the CPers) Nancy Pelosi - there will be no public condemnation of these commie traitors.
Also this shows what happens when teenagers who hate authority and having to follow rules confront a real adult - look who comes off appearing to be the lunatic. Those posters on YouTube are a prime example of the hate speech crowd who would silence Rush but advocate killing the Current Administration - for nothing but DNC ‘talking points’ - wow - and they get to vote (though I question that - most are probably still living in mommie’s basement).
This is just a prime example of why conservatives need to hit the candidates (R) websites, their Representatives (R), the RNC and the WH and say - stand up and stop this garbage before it destroys America. We need strong Republicans willing to stand up to the lies, scandals, disruptions, traitors and criminals attempting to take America down. Now.
October 25th, 2007 at 12:00 pm
This is scary. Whether it be Rice or any other person called to testify at a congressional hearing, security should never allow anyone to get close to the person called by the congress. It seems whomever said congress is being run by the code pinkos is spot on. But remember, they are only in charge because some in congress let them. That’s the very scary aspect of this. I’m also concerned that her state department security detail allowed this nut case or anyone else get that close to her, especially when it was obvious that code pinkers were going to be in the hearing room. One has to wonder if anyone in state is held accountable for their poor performance.
October 25th, 2007 at 12:33 pm
Where was Blackwater when Secretary Rice needed them? Education (or the lack of it) has quite a bit to do with the deterioration of public discourse, but the lumpenproletariat has been with us since the middle 19th Century. It there was an Internet in the early 1900’s, we’d see the same rhetoric back then as we see now. Stupid is stupid, but ’stupid’ knows how to throw a bomb and how to kill.
October 25th, 2007 at 1:46 pm
“The real answer to Code Pinko is to find a way - much like Rush’s charity auction of the Reid letter - that is so in their face, so tables turned and news making - to show them up for the commie traitors they are…”
Well, if exposing the fact that they raised $600,000 in cash and supplies for the terrorists in Fallujah isn’t enough to destroy their reputation:
Cindy, Code Pink Raised $600K For Terrorists | Sweetness & Light
http://sweetness-light.com/arc.....or-katrina
Or that they are running anti-US ads in Iraqi newspapers:

Or that Medea Benjamin is probably on Hugo Chavez ’s payroll:

It’s hard to imagine what it will take to discredit them.
October 25th, 2007 at 2:06 pm
It’s hard to imagine what would will take to discredit them.
The same thing it will take to finally discredit the MSM - a population that is actually paying attention.
October 25th, 2007 at 3:02 pm
dommac is spot on…..Rice needs to put Blackwater on her payroll here in the U.S. as well as Iraq. With Blackwater there, there wouldn’t have been no stickin red hands in her face. May have been some red blood splatter though.
October 25th, 2007 at 3:08 pm
Looks to me like the plan was to smear Ms. Condi with her bloodied hands.
Check THAT LOOK Condi gave her.
I’m tellin’ ya, she dared her without lifting a hand, cause, it looked to me that the reason security held back was because our secretary of state was gonna desk the bitch all by herself.
God I Love Real Americans!!!
October 25th, 2007 at 4:17 pm
“A good swift finger jab to her adams apple would have shut her up quick.”
Uh, I don’t think girls have adam’s apples. A swift jab to the throat would probably have worked, though, but then Condi’d be the one with an assault on her record.
October 25th, 2007 at 4:28 pm
“Can you imagine the lawsuits against the Capital Police if they try to prevent a Pinker from getting in?”
Ann Wright is or at least was banned from appearing on the Capitol grounds while one of her arrests for disorderly conduct was still being adjudicated:
Alternative News
http://www.sott.net/signs/edit.....Speech.php
All of the Pinkers have been arrested for disorderly conduct many times over, especially “Media.”
So why are they allowed to have the run of the place?
(Because some of the Dems want it that way, I suspect.)
October 25th, 2007 at 4:35 pm
Just asking because I don’t know, but don’t these people need a pass/ticket/invitation to get a seat in the hearing rooms? Doesn’t someone have to pre-screen them or vet them? Or can any idiot not already banned, like the former Col. Wright, just walk in, sit down and then proceed to attack someone in the room when they feel like it? From the video clip, the incident was planned and rehearsed. As soon as Foozie went after Rice, the always lovely Medea was standing up shreeking and waving her sign. The security aspect of this is insane. I also wonder if Lantos didn’t know what was coming in advance. I can’t imagine that wimp getting involved if he didn’t.
October 25th, 2007 at 4:46 pm
“I also wonder if Lantos didn’t know what was coming in advance. I can’t imagine that wimp getting involved if he didn’t.”
That was my suspicion, too.
And to think at one time he was for the war.
October 25th, 2007 at 4:53 pm
Was that before or after he was against the war?
/sarc
October 25th, 2007 at 8:57 pm
How inept is the Capitol Police? Well, it would seem that whatever politicians tell them to do, then that’s what they do. Let the protesters in? No problem.
I won’t be surprised to see someone packing and/or using a weapon in these hearings one day.
October 26th, 2007 at 5:28 pm
I don’t know anything about the Capitol Police – but would guess that those in the room knew/recognized the assailant…and held back or relaxed because: they thought she was a harmless loon; they are walking on thin ice with senior democratic leaders and/or activist lawsuits; they were told to; they are not particularly competent.
This incident is important because of the tragedy it could too easily have been.
The real question is what if it had been someone they had never seen before. Even with limiting entry and weapons screening, a poorly trained person with that close access could have taken Dr. Rice down with improvised weapons or no weapons at all, in a second. A determined enemy (a “martyr”) would act regardless of losing his/her life following the attack, which why the security arrangements there are so irresponsible.
I can understand the liberals believing there is no threat or at least no threat to them – and there may be some temporary, inconsistent truth to that, but Rice should always have better protection than what just happened there.
Just because some have deluded themselves into thinking we are not at war, doesn’t mean those of us who know we are should let our guard down. The SecState needs a new PSD.
October 26th, 2007 at 6:02 pm
What if this loon had actually had human blood on her hands. Human blood from who knows where. And what if she had managed to smear it all over Rice’s face and mouth. She was certainly close enough to do so. Now chances are, Rice would not have developed any disease in the future, but that’s what terrorism is. She probably would have been getting blood tests for a long time and worried about what the results may be. This is a case where I personally don’t care if it’s a republican or democrat. We cannot allow this kind of behavior and intimidation in the “people’s house”.
October 26th, 2007 at 6:19 pm
PS: If you’d like to read about the Capitol Police (hey I’m on their side) pick up Washington Babylon and see what these sufferin’ bastards have to put up with.
