Commencement Speakers Told Praise Obama-Care

From the Washington Examiner:

Obama orders top aides to praise Obamacare during commencement speeches

By Joel Gehrke | May 9, 2013

President Obama has ordered his Cabinet officials to praise Obamacare when giving speeches at college commencement ceremonies, even as the president’s aides fear that poor implementation of the law will tarnish his legacy.

To counter the criticism, the White House has told all Cabinet members and senior officials to use commencement speeches to drive home for graduating college students and their parents the benefits they gain from a provision of the law that allows young adults to stay on their family’s insurance plans until they turn 26…

Yes, make sure they know they can still be dependent. That’s is a very important message.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., did her part to tout the law to young people Thursday. “That’s a big thing for a young person coming out of school,” she said of the new rule allowing children to stay on their parents’ insurance policies during her weekly press briefing. “We just think it’s really going to be liberating.”

What could be more liberating than depending on your parents and the government?

Obama’s team fears what young people will do what the lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the individual mandate could not: cripple the law by refusing to participate in the health insurance exchanges…

If these ‘children’ are on their parents’ policies they won’t be participating in the exchanges. So the administration had better go back to the drawing board here.

In any case, half of these graduates are going to be depending on mom and day, anyway.

New Graduates Heading Back to Parents’ Houses

By Rich Tucker | May 9, 2013

As commencement season winds down, it’s discomfiting to think that almost half of new graduates know exactly where they’re headed when school’s out: Back to their parents’ homes.

The Pew Research Center reports that 45 percent of college grads younger than 25 are “living with family.” That percentage is almost two-thirds higher than in 2001….

But, the Obama administration is going to splurge for their propaganda for Obama-Care anyway.

HHS budgets $150m to teach people how to enroll in Obamacare

By Joel Gehrke | May 9, 2013

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced Thursday that HHS will spend $150 million to teach people how to enroll in the Obamacare exchanges, after a Democratic senator scolded her for running a poor “public information campaign.”

“Investing in health centers for outreach and enrollment assistance provides one more way the Obama administration is helping consumers understand their options and enroll in affordable coverage,” Sebelius said Thursday. HHS promised that the health centers would provide “unbiased information to consumers” about various provisions in the law.

Sure they will.

The health centers funding complements the navigators program, HHS noted. The Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard reported that tens of thousands of people would be paid between $20 and $48 an hour to serve as “navigators” to help others enroll for the law’s benefits.

“Today’s funding announcement is part of the administration’s larger effort to make applying for health insurance as easy as possible,” HHS said…

How can they afford to do this with all of the sequester cuts?

Nerobama understands how important it is to have a big government that makes life more difficult and expensive.

He understands that our freedom should be limited in order to force people to do and value those things which the elites value — things like socialized medicine, public schools, yoga, government dependency, protecting the West Texas sagebrush lizard, not protecting the borders, modern art, arugula, standing in line (only for the hoi polloi, not for the elites), government lies and cover-ups, revisionist history, abortions, etc.

If only those obstructive Republicans weren’t being so obstructive, we might realize every Liberal’s treasure chest of social improvements –– just imagine how lovely the world would be without fossil fuels, without motor cars, WalMart, and the internet, without electricity, white people, supermarkets, microwaves, travel, ATMs, meat, Lipitor (well, perhaps we wouldn’t need Lipitor if we all ate nothing but arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, and Starbucks lattes), Christianity, Fox News and conservative talk radio.

What a paradise we might achieve, if only we could destroy the last vestiges of capitalism. The emerging markets might disappear, and the people of China and India could go back to living in mud huts and shanty towns and eating dirt. We could have another Great Leap, more Five Year Plans and more gulags, more starving kulaks, more killing fields and slave labor camps. And more refugees to bring to America.

Yes, if only the Liberal Death Wish were allowed to grow and blossom, unobstructed by those obstructive Republicans.

Yes, by all means, let’s get the word out.

they saluted Caesar with the words ‘We who are about to die salute you!’
a beaten gladiator would be shown clemency following his defeat if Caesar was feeling merciful.

I’m stunned teachers would endorse Obama Care when they all ready have such good health insurance they miss more school days than students are allowed.

Could his legacy get any worse? Unless the libs totally rewrite the history books (which they are very likely to do) Barry the Bungler will go down as the worst president ever, even worse than Mister Peanut.
