In Chicago 80% of the Public Schoolteachers send their children to private school. Including, gasp, Barak and Michelle Obama! That should tell you all you need to know about the Chicago Public Education system. As for the University System of Illinois, having Bill Ayers on the faculty is a dammed disgrace! Even for a lousy school systems like in Illinois.

not centrist. not moderate.

i see this all the time every day in nyc.

just this weekend an otherwise smart lib i am friends with told me abc, nbc, cbs, and the nytimes were centrist and fox right-wing.

these folks are so far left when they look right they’re still looking left.

and obama is solidly in their camp.

Wow – all that B&M about leftist setbacks in the education system, the cowardice of ‘progressive’ educators, the intrusion of conservatism, etc. I would think a ‘distinguished’ professor of education would be more concerned with the children – other than the fact that radicals are losing their grip on them.

But Comrade Dylan’s words are telling: “you have kids coming to college now who have been fed a very narrow understanding of reality, including rooted in fundamentalist religion, rooted in the notion of evolution being a theory and not a fact”. Ahem. It should hardly be the role of an educator to tear down someone’s religion, but I guess this reveals how far removed from God liberalism is. And how ironic is it that Dylan refers to Darwin in order to demonstrate the students’ “narrow understanding of reality”? The “THEORY of Evolution” is just that – it’s even in the name, for godsake!

This interview reminded me of the good ol’ days when I was studying to be a teacher at Mankato State University. We had to sit through this kind of crap every day in our education sociology course. Sigh. So if you wonder why your kid’s school seems to be run by Marxists, remember that the teachers and administrators were probably taught by people like William Ayers.

Yes, and one reason Sen Obama wants to dismiss and discount this ‘relationship’ is not Ayers past, not even his own past – but perhaps the most indicting and damaging to his campaign – Obama funnelled some $100 to 150 million to this ‘project’ and the result – not a damn thing about the Chicago schools improved or rose.

That goes to show how truly ineffective, wrong and money wasting all his ‘community organizing,’ associate’s judgement and well, his experience is. Certainly a state Senator – maybe. But to be a US Senator and wanna be POTUS – not at all.

I say to heck with the public education system once and for all – think of the taxes we will save and ‘indoctrination’ will truly be in the hands of the parents again. And then maybe the US will get back to being normal again – when the leftist tree hugging, kumbyah singing, soy eating, peace, love, and one GlowballWorld uniters (as long as you think like me) will have lost their sway over the minds of our children.
