That poll is actually informative. If you notice, there is a spike every election year in their approval rating. This just goes to show how wishy-washy the electorate can be when it comes to actually doing anything about changing the congressional make up. Everybody hates congress, but it is all the other congressmen/women that are the problem. Their representative is just fine. Even more reason for term limits. Save the American people from their lack of resolve.

I live in an area where it will take an act of God to get rid of our congressional rep, Zoe “I never met an illegal alien I didn’t love” Lofgren. Though if the economy remains in the toilet through 2010, and the tech industry doesn’t take off again, perhaps she can count on losing next year’s election.

Unfortunately Pelosi isn’t going anywhere. SF wackjobs will keep voting her in as long as she wants to stay in congress.

Congress is like a ravenous dog smelling a filet mignon in a bear trap.

The dog knows the bear trap can kill it, but the smell of the meat is irresistable.

Congress knows that a huge majority of the country is furious at all of them for ruining our lives, while they live like emperors. Their approval is at a low and will only go lower if they reach for the meat.

But they just can’t resist the chance to make themselves even more powerful and wealthy than they are now, which is virtually unlimitted.

I pray the country has the guts to fire the trap. If we are lucky, many of them may be so distraught by their fall from grace that jail will be the last real estate they will ever see.
