Cooper Says DWS Is In ‘Alternate Universe’

From Mediaite:

Anderson Cooper Says Wasserman Schultz In ‘Alternate Universe’ About DNC Platform Change

by Meenal Vamburkar [sic] | Wednesday Sept 5, 2012

Following this afternoon’s ordeal, during which the Democratic Party’s platform was amended to include “God” and mention that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, Anderson Cooper turned to DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her response, incredulously deeming that she was in an “alternate universe.” …

Reacting to interview, Cooper repeated that Wasserman Schultz said there wasn’t a change of language, there wasn’t any discord, and it was a two-thirds vote. “I mean, that’s an alternate universe,” he said to the panel.

This the same person, Cooper said, who recently attacked Mitt Romney‘s campaign and said “it is the candidate who sets the platform, who designs and writes the platform. It wasn’t true when she was saying it two weeks ago — but now isn’t it fair if she claimed that about the Republican platform to claim that about the Democratic platform?”

Cooper further argued, “From a reality standpoint, you can defend it, as the head of the DNC, but to say flat out there was no discord is just not true.”

CNN really does seem to be trying anything to regain their ratings. They are even resorting to telling the obvious truth, now and then.

But notice that Mr. Cooper said that they could "defend" this. But Ms. Wasserman Schultz was making it harder for them.

Meanwhile, we have this development from the Politico:

DNC’s Wasserman Schultz, Gaspard cancel interviews amid platform debacle

By DYLAN BYERS | Wednesday Sept 5, 2012

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Democratic National Committee chiefs Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Patrick Gaspard cancelled interviews with local media outlets tonight, amid controversy surrounding the party’s decision to reintroduce "God" and "Jerusalem" to the platform.

Jon Ralston, host of the Las Vegas-based "Face To Face" news program, told POLITICO that he was sitting in the chair waiting for a 2:45 p.m. PT (5:45 p.m. ET) interview with Gaspard when he was told that his guest had cancelled, without explanation.

Blair Miller of WSOC TV, ABC’s Charlotte, N.C., affiliate, also tweeted that Wasserman Schultz cancelled her interview with him, without explanation. "After my Romney intv today, we were planning to interview @DWSTweets live," he wrote. "However, she did not show up. Her staff not answering calls."

Maybe they cancelled because of the weather forecasts.

DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse did not respond to a request for comment regarding the cancellations, which came after reports that the party had put "God" back on the platform and affirmed Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

UPDATE: Regarding the cancelled interviews, a DNC official emails:

At the time these interviews were scheduled, the DNC Chair and Patrick Gaspard were implementing the President’s directed changes to the platform and were unable to make the interviews. We are working to reschedule both interviews.

Hilarious. Are we really supposed to believe that these two were going to sit down and re-write the platform?

The DNC just seem to be incapable of ever telling the truth. It seems to be a (ahem) matter of faith with them to always lie.

By the way, this controversy flies in the face of what David Axelrod said last week on “Fox News Sunday,” where he predicted the Democrat convention would not have any of the sideshows that he claimed the Republican National Convention faced.

“We don’t have the problems that the other party has,” Axelrod said then. “We’re not divided. We don’t have to worry about, you know, what people are saying on the side or about their affection for the president or — we don’t have those problems.”

As usual, Mr. Axelrod was proved wrong. In fact, the Republican convention seems like a well-oiled machine by comparison.

‘Hilarious’ that they are changing their platform at this point in time. You’d think they would have figured it out by now.

Cooper may not be that far off. Jesus said at the end of the Age it would be as in the days of Noah, and the days of Noah were about genetic mutations so foul God has to cleanse the Earth of them ….

Pure tyranny and oppression find fertile soil in the Demonicrat Party.

Once again George Orwell is proved prophetic, as lies become ‘truth’ and truth become a ‘lie’.

The mask is off and they have nowhere to hide – unless they somehow win. In which case our fellow citizens will have only themselves to blame for their misery.
